ACT: The next step in learning to ask for help is figuring out how best to delegate the work you need help with so that you dont overburden someone else.

If you divide up what needs to be done among enough people, you make it easy for everyone.

For instance, if you assign one chore to each member of your family instead of asking your spouse to take them all on, housework becomes lighter all around.

Asking for help can seem like a chore in itself, or maybe even an admission of failure, but with a little practice, you can find the piece of mind that comes with taking some of the weight off your shoulders without feeling like your crushing, someone else.

This starts with recognizing how much help you give to others, so begin by listing the people in your life - family, friends , coworker- and the thing's you've helped them with.

To deepen your mindfulness practice, try this simple exercise: Hold your hand out in front of you, palm down. Clench your fingers and thumb into a fist and turn your hand over.

Now close your eyes and breathe deeply.
Imagine your breath going into your hand, concentrating your awareness there.

REFLECTION: Even though we all know that no one is perfect, we often are very hard on ourselves, beating ourselves up over mistakes and revisiting those bad memories over and over.

ACT: For a simple and soothing meditation experience, set a candle out in front of a place where you can sit comfortably.

Light the candle and stare into the flame. Try to focus your thoughts on the fire, and when other thoughts come to you, allow them to leave as easily as they came.
