Rivers Health

Rivers Health A member of Marshall Health Network, Rivers Health is a 101-bed, not-for-profit facility. PVH also operates numerous medical clinics.

Established in 1959 as a 40-bed private, not-for-profit community hospital, Pleasant Valley Hospital today has developed into something much more...

We are a not-for-profit healthcare system that provides community-oriented healthcare for Mason and Jackson counties in West Virginia and the counties of Gallia and Meigs in Ohio. This 101-bed facility offers a full spectrum of services and includes a 101-bed acute care facility, wellness center (open to the public), and more. General services are provided to the community including radiology, emergency medicine, inpatient and outpatient surgery, neurology, sleep studies, ophthalmology, orthopedics, oncology/hematology, otolaryngology, women's health and a full-range of therapy and rehabilitation services. Radiology services include CT, Vantage Orian MRI with Theater and Pianissimo noise reducing technology, ultrasound, nuclear medicine and 3-D digital mammography. We are extending care well beyond the doors of the hospital, offering alternative care options, emergency treatment of major and minor injuries and illness and preventive care and fitness programs. Pleasant Valley Hospital is truly a resource center for our community's healthcare needs.

We're excited to celebrate our January Customer Service Employee of the Month!

Cody McCoy- Registered Respiratory Therapist
Employed with us since August 2022

Cody was nominated by his manager for consistently going above and beyond to support his team and ensure patients receive the care they need. He has voluntarily picked up multiple shifts recently, including two at the very last minute when there were unexpected call-offs. In one remarkable instance, Cody cancelled his Thanksgiving plans with his family to cover the night shift on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. When another employee had a scheduling mix-up, Cody didn't hesitate to come in and cover the shift.

Cody is always a huge help and constantly looks for ways to make the department run more smoothly. His dedication, reliability, and team-first attitude exemplify outstanding customer service and ensure our patients receive uninterrupted care.

Cody lives in Henderson and enjoys fishing, Ohio State football, and Cincinnati Reds baseball. We're proud to share that his mother, Brandy McCoy, is also part of the Rivers Health family!

Want to nominate a deserving employee? Email Human Resources by the last Tuesday of each month with detailed examples of excellent customer service!

Congratulations, Cody! Your commitment and reliability make all the difference! 👏

Frostbite can happen fast, so keep your skin protected as your body's first line of defense. ❄️🧤

If you suspect frostbite, warm the affected areas slowly using warm water or body heat, avoid direct heat sources and seek care if the skin stays discolored or blisters form.

Be prepared and stay safe this winter.
