As we process the loss of another public figure this year, these are some reasons why we tend to feel grief about people we may not have known personally. Collective grief can impact us in ways we aren’t even aware of. So, take some time to implement a little more self-care in the next few days and be aware of how this recent loss may be impacting you.

In the new year, I want to spend some time discussing su***de and depression in the Black community. There are often misconceptions about death by su***de and I think it’s important to raise more awareness about a topic that seldom is discussed.
