All herbs are handled with love, I personally hang and wrap them. Once they are wrapped they are set to bask under the full moon.

Florida Water

"Florida Water" originated in New York in 1808 by perfumer Robert Murray. Florida Water has been used over the years to tone the skin, freshen the air, calm the nerves, relieve headaches, reduce fevers, prevent infection, and soothe an itching scalp. In more recent years it started being incorporated in spiritual practices.

Personally, I suggest to make your own. I recently took a look at the back of the "Florida Water" bottle and read the ingredient. The ingredients stated denatured alcohol and fragrances. It almost seems as if the formula may have changed throughout the years (not sure just my opinion). Either way, I rather make my own and add all the cleansing herbs of my liking.

To make your own Florida water remember its citrus based and add whatever herbs you feel drawn to. Add all your herbs in a glass jar then fill your jar with 80 proof vodka or 99% isopropyl alcohol, allow it to sit outside for 6 weeks.

Here is a glimps of my rendition to Florida Water and some of the herbs I like to use. How do you make your Florida Water? What are some of the ways you use it?

Origanum vulgare AKA Oregano

When I used to think about oregano the first thing that would pop in my head was PIZZA! But what if I told you oregano had AMAZING health benefits internally as well as topically?

Oregano oil contains:

*Carvacrol- the main active compound in oregano oil and a type of antioxidant called a phenol.
*Thymol - may help protect against toxins and fight fungal infections.

What Does It Do?
1. Super antioxidant
2. Has the ability to destroy Candida (fungal infection caused by a yeast)
3. Helps lower cholesterol
4. Improves Digestion
5. Aids in Weight loss
6. Carries anti-cancer properties
7. Acts like an anti inflammatory
8. Can be used as an insect repellent

How Can It Be Used?
1. Boil a couple of leaves and allow it to steep for a few minutes then drink as a tea.
2. Mix Oregano essential oil with any oil carrier (ex: almond oil) and use topically for its antibacterial, anti-fungal and anti-inflammatory properties. (athletes foot, yeast infection, infected nails, muscle pain)- Essential oil should NOT be consumed
3. Use Organo capsules as a supplement.

Oregano oil is powerful and may help with a range of issues however, it should not replace medical treatment.

Please note there is a difference between oregano OIL and oregano ESSENTIAL OIL. Oregano essential oil is much stronger and not safe to consume.

How else have you used oregano?
