Turning 50 used to feel like a milestone that came with a lot of expectations… wrinkles, gray hair, slowing down. I think about the Golden Girls and what 50 looked like back then, and honestly…it’s so different from what 50 feels like today.

Not every area of the face should be injected and some require a very high degree of caution.

Here are a few areas Petrine will either not inject or only treat with extreme care because of the anatomy involved. When major blood vessels and delicate structures are present, precision and deep anatomical knowledge are absolutely essential.

This is why choosing an experienced, medically trained injector matters. Facial anatomy is complex, and understanding where vessels, nerves, and danger zones live helps reduce risks and protect patient safety.

At the end of the day, great results are not just about adding product. They are about knowing when to treat, where to treat, and when to say no. 💉

This is an absolute myth! You do not have to wait until your wrinkles are deep to start neuromodulators.

One of the biggest misconceptions in aesthetics is that Botox or other neuromodulators are only for treating wrinkles that are already etched into the skin. In reality, they work beautifully as a preventative treatment. By relaxing the muscles that repeatedly fold the skin, we can help slow down the formation of deeper lines before they have a chance to set in.

Think of it like this. Every time you frown, squint, or raise your brows, the skin creases. Over time those repeated movements start to leave a mark. Neuromodulators simply soften that movement so the skin isn’t constantly being folded in the same place.

Starting earlier often means softer lines, more natural movement, and less product needed over time. Prevention is always easier than correction.

The goal is never to freeze your face. The goal is to keep your skin looking smooth, refreshed, and naturally you. ✨
