I miss you tremendously as you are my extended family. However, I also look forward to seeing many of the John Knox Village residents for the first time as well. Beyond blessed to have so many loyal patients. I've been informed that at the current sign-up rate we should be at the 400 MDVIP member capacity regarding my private patients in a few weeks. I will, as promised, reserve a hundred or so spots for the John Knox Village residents as they were kind enough to provide me with office space in their beautiful medical complex. My days of caring for 2000 patients are over. This new adventure is amazing!

I was accepted as an MDVIP affiliate which is a well established company that encourages wellness and prevention with concierge style service. A comprehensive wellness annual exam that goes above and beyond what traditional insurance covers is the cornerstone of this practice model. "Not the typical medical strategy which, in my opinion, is tantamount to placing a traffic signal at an intersection only after multiple people have been harmed in collisions that could have been prevented!" Concierge style service with 24/7 access to our practice and same or next day appointments where you'll be afforded the time you need. Not the typical ten minute visit provided by many of the employed physicians who's paycheck is contingent on the volume of patient's they see. Google RVU's if your interested as the production model should be outlawed in my opinion. The MDVIP model will allow me to provide you with extended extremely comprehensive visits with little or no wait time so no need to bring "War and Peace" to read in the waiting room which can be the norm when you're part of the herd. I'll only be able to care for roughly 400 of my 2000 established patients and It's first come first serve. New patients are welcome to join the practice contingent on availability and I need to reserve spots for the John Knox Residents that have shown great interest in this model and requested our presence on their beautiful campus. It's my opinion based on 26 years experience that excellent primary care medicine is nearly impossible to find in our society's corporate run traditional model where eye contact and active listening are typically not the norm. 2am Flashback to 1999! The Y2K technology crash never materialized. Posting big news on Monday! The boy is back with a gorgeous new office and first class service. Accepted as an MDVIP affiliate. Incredible organization that places emphasis on wellness and access.

My friend and neighbor of 20 years Young Ron Brewer a Famous South Florida Radio personality for 25 years Died Yesterday after moving to Ocala Florida just a few months ago. A part of the Paul and Young Ron Duo that helped me laugh commuting to different hospitals during my medical training. I was shocked when he moved in across the street 20 years ago! A humble man he would cross the street and help me put up my hurricane shutters when my children were younger, purchase/distribute McDonalds Cheeseburgers to the neighbors after the hurricanes took out our power for days by literally going door to door, and allowed me to mess around in his in home recording studio from time to time. Living a stones throw from MSD high school he showed genuine concern for my daughter Sarah who survived the mass murder. Ron Bates (Real Name) gone too soon will be missed by his beautiful family. Rock on Ron! Great person and legendary voice. Deepest condolences to his loved ones.

I was accepted as an MDVIP affiliate which is a well established concierge medicine company. I'm excited about this joint venture and I'm currently searching for a location. This model will allow me to provide you with extended extremely comprehensive visits, an annual exam that goes above and beyond the norm, 24/7 access to the physician, same/next day visits, virtual visits, and typically less than 15 minute wait times! My tour of duty as a VA clinic medical director has concluded.
