Diet soda isn’t the ‘healthier’ switch you think it is.
A lot of people switch from regular soda to diet soda, thinking it’s the safer choice.
But studies show diet sodas can still lead to insulin resistance, weight gain, and even non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), despite having “no sugar” and “no calories.”
Artificial sweeteners trick your brain into expecting real sugar, and when it doesn’t arrive, your metabolism pays the price.
Over time, it can affect your liver, blood sugar, and overall health.
If you need something fizzy, choose sparkling water with lemon.
Otherwise… drink water and mind your business.
