I have been thinking about the difference between preventative medicine and emergency medicine.

I believe in a balance when it comes to healthcare.

I don’t not believe and medicine and doctors.

I just prefer to take full responsibility for my health.

You could compare it to servicing your car regularly and buying new tires before you experience a blow out on the side of the road.

Preventative medicine much like servicing your car regularly is less stressful, less scary, and gives you confidence in your ability to take good care of yourself.

Confidence is peace of mind knowing your ability to take long slow deep breaths affects core strength, back health, and good fitness.

Why wait to be in pain to take good care of yourself.

The flip side is regular Pilates helps flush out pain of you are already experiencing discomfort.

To do trauma work and come to real resolution you have to be fueled.

The root chakra relates to basic needs. Your basic needs need to be met to have the strength to look at painful memories from the past and return your witnessing to God.

Sleep, hydration, food, and shelter need to be in place in order to really heal.

Otherwise you are still deficient in the necessary energy to release trauma fully.

Otherwise your focus should be on getting enough sleep, eating sufficiently, hydrating throughout the day, and working to put a roof over your head that is safe and stable.

Trauma work is not for the faint of heart.

It is for spiritual warriors who want to leave victimhood, who want to flow Divine Love through every painful memory from the past, and transmute energy into peace.

A dedication to peace is beyond what is playing out in the world at this time. It requires work to leave anger, leave hatred, and leave unforgiveness.

Solitude is often required to get super clear on what upsets you, and learn how to breathe through triggers, release emotions peacefully, and reengage thoughtfully.

New year's resolutions are a way to set a focal point...

I have explored "do less better".

This year my intention is "show up better".

These intentions reflect a desire to improve myself daily.

To learn from what didn't work yesterday and do it better today.

We grow with a foundation of knowledge.

Which is why I love my movement practice.

Daily on my mat or on the Pilates equipment I practice the coordination of breath and movement.

Factors that have affected my daily movement practice are Covid, Car accidents, break ups, (you understand).

How stress affects the body has affected my ability to access certain movements.

I lean heavily upon the basics.

The simplicity on an arm arc or a hip fold.

I find a blissful ease in my joints and layer movements as I go.

The art of progression and regression is an infinite exploration and fascination of mine.

All geared towards a handful of purposes....

Pain free movement

Making people feel successful in the coordination of breath and movement

Nervous system regulation, toning, and balancing

Have a toned, hot, Pilates body 😘

I have been practicing conscious movement since I was 2 years old with gymnastics, dance, martial arts, massage, Yoga and Pilates.

With each new stepping stone, each new movement exploration, I fall deeper and deeper in love with union of breath and motion.

I am even discovering an embracing of stillness in my wiser 42 years of age.

Reintegration is a fascinating process...

Cultivating the creative habit means creating something beautiful every day.

But it doesn't mean that it has to be esthetically beautiful.

It can be rough, ugly, emotional, or raw.

With time maybe art refines, and maybe it grows in texture.

At this time I am learning to concentrate my creative energy.

Repeat the same steps over and over with the intention of improving.

Healing.

Love.

Peace.

Health.

These states of being can be achieved through movement and meditation.

The basic arts of nourish, hydrate, and rest.

Using technology for goodness.

Allowing myself to be inspired by other artists that speak to my heart.

Creating work that is beautiful means that something in my heart and soul say "yes... this".

It sparks a feeling of truth, a feeling of remembrance, a feeling of gratitude, a feeling of comfort, a feeling of ecstatic awareness of love.

Cultures that cultivate art steer away from violence.

We learn how to express our feelings nonviolently.

We learn how to ask God for what we need.

We realize that there is more than enough for everyone.

To overflow with love one must learn the art of creating a reserve of energy within, a well of love that fills deeper and deeper.
