This past weekend, our residents braved the storm and spent an evening at the Columbus Zoo Wildlights — walking around, talking, laughing, and making memories together along the way.

Recovery isn’t just about doing the hard work. It’s also about moments like these — getting out of the house, feeling connected, and remembering that joy and light still exist!

We’re extremely grateful for nights like this and for the community that supports our residents 🤍❄️

Thank you to everyone who continues to support our program and our residents. Your generosity makes a real and immediate difference in the lives of the women at Journey Home Recovery.

Because of your support, we’re able to offer our residents meaningful moments of joy and connection—like taking the house to the Columbus Zoo Lights this weekend for a much-needed night out together! These experiences remind them that healing can include laughter, community, and the feeling of being cared for. ✨

If you’d like to continue supporting our program and the women in the house, we’ll be keeping the Resident Support Fund open. Every contribution, big or small, helps us create stability, opportunities, and brighter days for our residents.

This Giving Tuesday, we’re launching something deeply meaningful at Journey Home Recovery — our new Resident Support Fund!

Recovery isn’t just about staying sober. It’s also about stability. And for some of the women that come into our home, stability can be fragile.

- One of our residents is currently in the hospital facing a difficult medical situation. As she focuses on healing, she still needs the stability of knowing she has a safe place to return to. Situations like this remind us how quickly life can shift, and how essential it is to have support in place when it does.

Most of our residents are navigating more than recovery:
• they’re mothers trying to stay connected with their children
• women working hard to rebuild their lives from the ground up
• individuals searching tirelessly for employment and independence
• and many are miles away from family — or without family support at all

When unexpected challenges hit, the fear of losing housing only adds to the weight they already carry.

Our Resident Support Fund will help bridge those moments — offering temporary assistance so women can remain in stable housing while facing medical emergencies, financial setbacks, or other life challenges. It’s a way for us to show them that they don’t have to navigate these moments alone. If you feel called to support, even a small contribution makes a real, tangible difference in a woman’s ability to continue her healing journey with dignity and stability.

When one of the residents felt sick, we brought the sound bath to her bedside. It was a bittersweet evening as one of our gals moved out to start a new chapter. So proud of her. If you know anyone looking for a safe and sober place to live, we have a bed available and yes, sound baths are included 😃
