When Professor Michael Figueroa needed open-heart surgery, the professionals helping him recover weren’t strangers.

They were William Paterson University Alumni from the program he teaches in.

At both Valley Health System and Atlantic Health Chilton Medical Center, William Paterson exercise physiology alumni were there, guiding his rehabilitation, helping him take his first post-surgery steps, and supporting his recovery.

It was a powerful full-circle moment that shows the real impact of a William Paterson education. 🧡 “If you go within a 20- or 30-mile radius of our campus for allied healthcare, one of our alumni is working at or running those facilities,” Figueroa says.

It was a beautiful day and the numbers are in...18 holes of golf, 104 golfers and over $132,000 raised for Chilton Medical Center. The CMC Foundation team appreciates the many sponsors, donors and volunteers who helped make this event possible.
