🌿 November 4th Highlights! 🌿
The Youth Enrichment Program had a wonderful day with special guest Dr. Julie Clark, who shared great insights on practicing mindfulness in our daily lives. Afterward, Zuri led a fun, hands-on activity teaching us how to propagate succulents, a lovely gift from the Ponca City Horticulture Program.
To wrap up the day, everyone made seed packets to take home their pumpkin seeds and keep the growing going! 🩵💚
So proud of our youth for learning, growing, and staying mindful together! 🌱

Tuesday October 28th, the Native Connections Enrichment Program hosted a Halloween celebration, featuring a warm and nourishing meal of hamburger stew, grilled cheese, and dessert. The Kids enjoyed a movie and each other's company through lively conversations and creative activities, such as coloring Halloween pages. Along with 8 raffle prizes to top the party off 👻🎃🎊 Happy Halloween!

🎃 Pumpkin Carving Update 🎃
Hi everyone! We wanted to share an update on our pumpkin carving contest. The kids didn’t have enough time to finish their pumpkins, and with some unexpected delays, the pumpkins ended up spoiling before we could hold the contest.
The kids all agreed to skip the contest this time, but we still want to celebrate their creativity! We’ll be sharing photos to showcase some their amazing work and effort. Thank you all for understanding and for supporting our youth and their fun fall activities! 🍂🧡

🎃 We had a blast with our pumpkin carving yesterday on October 14th! The youth got to choose between painting or carving their pumpkins — and they got super creative! 🖌️🪓 We’re also saving and drying out the seeds for next week’s activity… any guesses what we’re making? 👀

We had a great day with the youth on October 7! Stephen, a behavioral health counselor, stopped by and led a fun communication game that got everyone thinking and working together. Then with help from our garden instructor Zuri, the youth each got to choose and plant either flowers, lettuce, or carrots to care for. Always good to see them learning and growing! 🌱
