Grace Memorial Funeral Chapel was opened in November of 1954 by the late Forrest E. Miles (for whom the chapel is named). The Miles family set forth from the very beginning, a standard of outstanding funeral service for the Ponca City area. The chapel was fully remodeled in 1983. In 1990 the chapel was purchased by the International Loewen Funeral Group and with the retention of staff has long continued to uphold the standards of excellence that the Miles family worked most of their lives to develop. The company was restructured in 1999 under the Alderwoods Group and purchased in 2007 by the Paxus Services Group. MilesThe entire staff of Grace Memorial Chapel is dedicated to their profession. These people know the people, traditions and customs that help make for a comforting funeral experience. These staff members have invested in the Ponca City community by supporting and participating in church, school and other organizations. Robert "Bob" Leo Coffee

Robert (Bob) Leo Coffee of Newkirk, OK passed from this life on November 9, 2025, in Ponca City, Oklahoma at the age of 88 years old. Robert was born to Mary Alice and Leo Coffee on January 5, 1937, in Blackwell, OK. He grew up on the family farm. Bob always loved to hunt and fish even during his childhood.

He graduated from Newkirk High School and attended 2 years NOC in Tonkawa studying Mechanical Engineering. On June 22, 1958, he married the love of his life, Rosie Simanek.

Bob served his country as a soldier in the US Army and received an honorable discharge. He worked in Research and Development at Conoco for 44 years. During this time, he received multiple patents and awards for what he accomplished at Conoco.

He had a servant’s heart and would do anything for anyone. He was famous in the area for his woodworking skills and donated most of his work to others. He was a long-time member of the First Christian Church in Newkirk, Oklahoma.

Robert is survived by his wife of 67 years, Rosie Coffee.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Jerry Michael Coffee.

A celebration of Bob’s life will be held at the First Christian Church in Newkirk on Saturday, November 15th, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. Burial to follow at Rest Haven Cemetery in Ponca City, Oklahoma.

Services and Interment Care are under the direction of Grace Memorial Chapel.

Robert (Bob) Leo Coffee of Newkirk, OK passed from this life on November 9, 2025, in Ponca City, Oklahoma at the age of 88 years old. Michelle LaVern Palmer - Washington, born on September 21, 1957, in Ponca City, Oklahoma, peacefully departed this world on November 10, 2025, in Andover, Kansas. She lived a life adorned with love, laughter, and kindness, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.Michelle's educational journey began at Ponca City High School, from which she graduated in 1975. She was a proud member of the "PO Hi Steppers" and later pursued her studies at Northern Oklahoma College. This foundation laid the groundwork for a robust career in accounting, primarily within the oil and gas sector, where she dedicated over ten years to Conoco. Following that chapter, she continued her professional journey at a bank in Tulsa for more than five years. Michelle's career exemplified her dedication and strong work ethic which resonated deeply in her personal life as well.Michelle was also a woman of many interests and hobbies. She found joy in crocheting, traveled to various destinations, loved spending time at casinos, and had a great passion for sports. Her warm and sweet nature drew people to her, and it was in her interactions that she truly shone, offering kindness and support to friends and family alike.She is remembered not only for her accomplishments but also for her loving family. Michelle shared her life with her devoted husband, Leo Washington, and proudly embraced her stepdaughter, Alexis Washington, both of whom reside in Kansas City. Her mother, Martha Palmer, of Ponca City, will forever cherish her memories of Michelle, just as her siblings will hold her close in their hearts. Her brother, Greg Palmer, and his wife Denise, along with her sister, Marsha Palmer-Thelwell, and husband Dwight Thelwell of Lee's Summit, MO, will carry forth her legacy alongside her cherished nieces, Nicole and Alisha Palmer of Tulsa, as well as her great-nieces, Carlaiya Harrison, Kiyleah White, and Mikahlyn Caldwell.Michelle's journey through life was not without its losses; she was preceded in death by her father, Clarence Palmer, as well as her paternal and maternal grandparents. While the pain of these losses remains, her memory will shine brightly for those who mourn her absence.A memorial service celebrating the life of Michelle LaVern Palmer - Washington will be held on November 15, 2025, at the Visitation Room in Ponca City, Oklahoma. The service will begin at 11:00 AM, and all are invited to honor and remember a truly remarkable woman who touched so many lives.In a world that often feels hurried and disconnected, Michelle's sweet, warm spirit will be cherished and missed, ensuring that her legacy of kindness and joy lives on in the hearts of all she loved.

Patricia Ann Dunn, 71, of Ponca City, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on October 29, 2025.

She was born on January 4, 1954, in Seattle,WA, to Alice and Robert Kirchner. She graduated from West Seattle High School. She continued her education and received her Bachelors Degree from Central Washington University and her Masters Degree from Seattle Pacific University. Patti went to dedicate over 30 years of her life to education, serving many roles within her career, starting as a classroom teacher and retiring as a principal. Her commitment to shaping young minds left a lasting impact on countless students and colleagues.

Beyond her career, she found her greatest joy in being a grandmother to her two beloved grandchildren, who were the light of her life. She also had a special love for her schnauzers, who were always by her side and brought her endless comfort and companionship.

She will be remembered for her kindness, strength, and unwavering devotion to her family. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her Sister, Barabra Mclean and Brother, Robert Kirchner (Seattle, Wa), her son, James Dunn and daughter Beret Watters (Ponca city, Ok), and her grandchildren Colton and Kylee Watters (Ponca City, Ok). She was preceded in death by her parents, Alice and Robert Kirchner.

A celebration of life will be held in Seattle, Wa during the Summer of 2026.

Ronald (Ron) Covill, also known as “Bald Eagle” on his CB radio, passed away Sunday, November 2nd at his home in Cleveland Oklahoma.

Ron was born to Roy W and Gladys L (Edwards) Covill April 7th, 1933, in Ponca City Oklahoma

He attended Pleasant View School District 85. Upon his father’s death at 16 he assumed the 160 Acre dairy farm established in 1941, 12 miles NE of Ponca City. His passion was farming, tending to the land, building his herd that never saw a whip and his family. His farm life produced a tenacious man who continued the many challenges of life’s vison and never quit or gave up. He valued the help of his friends and family, visits at the farm were always welcome. Bad weather for a few consecutive years, forced Ronnie to sell the herd of dairy cattle. He remained on the farm operating a livestock and hay hauling business. Ron tried several jobs in town before he was hired by the Ponca City Board of Education, Ron attended a maintenance class at OSU and worked driving a tractor and mowing then in the maintenance dept. Then he became custodian at East Jr. High School there Washington school, Ron enjoyed the 21 years of serving teachers and students.

In 1960 Ron married Wilma J. Reed they had three children Flora Mae, David and Kevin Covill. The marriage ended after 21 years. On August 1, 1986, Ron married Winnie Marie Johnston. Ron and Winnie traveled many years in the motor home all over the country. Finally, Ron settled at 1020 Poplar in Ponca City Oklahoma. Ron was an extreme supporter of the Noon Lion Club he helped Ponca City become ADA compliant city, helped change White Cane Laws and promoted independence for the visually impaired people, was a frequent user of the Cimarron Transit and the leader of the Lion’s vison support group for years. He lived the Lion’s moto “we serve”. In July of 2024,Ron and Winnie decided to move to Baptist Village in Cleveland Oklahoma where he died.

He was preceded in death by one son, Kevin Walter Covill, two half-sisters Flora Moore and Jesse Wile of Tonkawa Oklahoma.

He is survived by His wife Winnie Covill of Clevland, Ok, one son David Covill of Little Rock Arkansas, one Daughter Flora Drake of Ponca City OK, three stepsons he loved like his own, Dusty Johnston and wife Nicole of Moore OK, Tim Johnston and wife Shelby of Tonkawa OK, And Scott Johnston and life partner Brenda Asbury of Ark City KS. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Lee Drake, Cody Johnston, Mathew Johnson, and Ronnie J. Covill, one great grandson, Bentlee Johnston, and nephew Roy Wile.

Rons Wishes were to be cremated and returned to his home place.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Ponca City Noon Lions Club.

A celebration of life will be held later.

Guyanna (G Bug) Warrior, 38, beloved Mother, and Daughter, was called to her eternal resting place on November 4, 2025. She entered this world on February 10, 1987, in Ponca City, OK, born to her mother, Georgianna Warrior.

Traditional noon feast will be held Friday, November 7, 2025, at the Ponca Indian Cultural Center. Burial will follow in the Ponca Tribal Cemetery with Rev Dr. Louis Headman officiating.

G Bug grew up in Ponca City and White Eagle, she enjoyed spending time with her kids, going to the casino, and singing around the drum. During her early years she was a cook at several casino's.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her kids, Adolphus Warrior and Viola Warrior of the home, her mother, Georgianna Warrior also of the home. one brother, Shane LeRoy of Indianapolis, Indiana. also surviving are numerous Aunts, Uncles and cousins.

Guyanna was preceded in death by her grandparents, Adolphus and Luccille Warrior, Aunt, Viola Collins, and two uncles, John Wayne Warrior and Bruce Warrior.
