To Our Valued Regence Patients,
We wanted to reach out personally to let you know about a recent and unexpected change affecting your care at Sandpoint Chiropractic Clinic.
Regence BlueShield of Idaho has recently updated their coverage policies and will no longer be paying for physical therapy (PT) modalities performed in our office and any other chiropractic office in Idaho, Washington, and Oregon. These services include therapeutic exercises, electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and other rehabilitative treatments that we often combine with your chiropractic care to enhance recovery and pain relief.
Unfortunately, we were not notified in advance of this change — it came as a surprise to us as well. We are currently in dispute with Regence regarding this decision, as we strongly believe these therapies play an important role in your care and recovery.
While we continue to advocate for coverage on your behalf, we want to be transparent about how this affects your options moving forward:
Option 1:
Continue receiving your chiropractic adjustment only, billed through Regence.
This will be a shorter appointment focused on your adjustment.
Option 2:
Keep your adjustment billed through insurance and add PT modalities for $15 per visit.
This allows for a longer appointment with Dr. Josh and continued access to the therapies you’ve benefited from.
Option 3:
Choose to discontinue insurance billing and pay our normal cash rate for all services.
This gives you full flexibility in your care without insurance limitations.
We understand how frustrating this situation may be — it’s frustrating for us, too. Please know that we are doing everything we can to resolve this issue and continue providing the highest quality care possible.
