Uses a variety of Massage techniques to control pain, reduce stress, and promote relaxation in a healthcare setting. Take basic medical history and suggest appropriate massage techniques based on current health of a client.
Evaluate patient’s soft tissue conditions, joint quality and functions, muscle strength, and range of motion.
Develop and propose patient treatment plans that specify which types of massage are to be used.
Consult with patients about their medical histories and any other problems with stress and/or pain to determine whether massage would be helpful.
Massage and knead the muscles and soft tissues of the human body to provide treatment for medical conditions, injuries, or wellness maintenance.
Proficient knowledge of deep tissue, prenatal, trigger point, and therapeutic massage.
Excellent communication skills.
Great interpersonal skills.
