Investigator Layne Forrest was recognized at the Mid-Atlantic Organized Retail Crime Alliance (MAORCA) Annual Fall Conference as the Investigator of the Year.

The MAORCA Alliance provides a platform for collaboration between private sector and law enforcement professionals across the Mid-Atlantic region, working together to raise awareness and combat organized retail crime that impacts our communities. MAORCA encompasses Delaware, Maryland, Washington D.C., Virginia, and West Virginia.

This award was presented during the annual conference held in Tysons Corner, which brought together members of state and local law enforcement agencies and retail security professionals.

Also in attendance were Maryland Delegate Karen Toles, Maryland Senator Ron L. Watson, Jr., Ph.D., Sarah Price of the Maryland Retailers Alliance, Aaron Hale, Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney for the City of Fredericksburg, Joyce King, Chief Counsel for the Frederick State Attorney’s Office, and Paul Halliday from the Maryland Office of the Attorney General.

We are proud of Investigator Forrest’s dedication, professionalism, and outstanding investigative work in addressing organized retail crime. Congratulations on this well-deserved recognition!
