Project SAFER is hosting a free event during the Clallam County Fair on August 20, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for Clallam County community members who experience intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families to interact with First Responders in a fun and relaxing environment. Project SAFER has a Response Form available for individuals who experience intellectual and developmental disabilities which can provide important information to improve interactions and outcomes with First Responders. This information will be shared with First Responders—such as Police, Fire and EMS—so they are better equipped to provide the right support during an encounter.

✅ Helps First Responders understand how best to communicate and assist individuals who experience intellectual and developmental disabilities
✅ Promotes safety, understanding and dignity
✅ Voluntary and confidential

This small step can make a BIG difference during critical moments.
