Indoor track season is in the books. 📖🏁✨
Just a little extra practice.
Just a little extra experience.
Just a little extra competition.
Just a little extra to carry into outdoor season.🌱☀️
On the way home, we shared our thoughts and impressions from the meet. 🚗💬
All of mine had a little to do with performance, and a lot to do with the things that lie beneath the surface — committment 💪, motivation 🔥, work ethic 🏋️, and positivity. 😊
Here’s a rundown:
Aiden went full send. 🔥 I didn’t have to tell him to give it his all — he did it naturally. In an unfamiliar (and somewhat intimidating) environment 😳, he just went for it in the long jump and 400 meters.🏃♂️
Eli threw a near-PR in shot put with no practice 💥 and posted another consistent 60 meter dash ⚡ — both signs of exciting things to come in outdoor. 🌟 He also elevated his teammates with his signature relentless positivity. 🙌 Just a few months ago, Eli suffered a broken leg. Today, we celebrated his consistency and a healthy indoor season. 💪🏻🦴
Aspen ran a fast 400, an event she has never competed in before today. 🏃♀️ She accepted the challenge, applying her maturity and experience to a new situation to post a 1:16.⏱️ It’s no wonder she’s a 4x state qualifier in three years. 🏅👏
As a freshman, Macy is heading into her first high school outdoor season ahead of the curve. 📈 She’s earned a well-prepared start to her high school track career.🌟
Peace out, indoor! ✌️❄️ Outdoor, here we come! 🌷☀️
But not before boys and girls basketball districts! 🏀🔥
