Acadiana Practitioners would like to announce the transition of Mrs. Francine Poole into our Women’s Health Clinic. Mrs. Fran has been with Acadiana Practitioners for past 6 years working in our Family Practice Clinics. She comes with vast experience in Women’s Health, having worked 25 years at OGHS in Obstetrics and Gynecology where she was certified in Inpatient Obstetrics. After completing her Nurse Practitioner board certification, she then spent 2 years at Women’s and Children’s Hospital working inpatient in Obstetrics for their Hospitalist Group before joining Acadiana Practitioners. Mrs. Fran will be returning to her roots in Women’s Health, ready to take care of the women in St. Landry parish with compassion, patience, and a heart of gold. Jenny Marchand is one of our weekend NPs who you will see often on Saturdays at our Port Barre location. Jenny has been with Acadiana Practitioners for over six years. She has been married to her husband Jarrod for 28 years. They have two children and three grands. Her hobbies and favorite past times include growing a vegetable garden year-round and anything family related. When asked what she loves most about being a Nurse Practitioner, she states, “I love giving a patient relief from a condition, of course, but I love my patients’ stories about their lives…. I have heard some amazing things! Fun fact about Jenny is she brews Jalapeño Ale beer!

Rhonda Bergeron is also one of Acadiana Practitioner’s owners. She has been a Nurse Practitioner for over 20 years and works at the Port Barre location. She has been married to Aaron for 20 years and they have six children and eight grandchildren! She loves to read and her most relaxing place is at the beach with a good book in her hand while listening to the waves. Sundays are her favorite days with Mass and then her babies and grandbabies around her dining room table. She is also a member of the Dream Team 6, a non-profit that helps people in our community with life threatening illnesses. When asked what she loves about being a Nurse Practitioner, she said, “there are multiple reasons why I still love what I do after 20 years. First and foremost, I believe everyone is here to be the hands and feet of Jesus. Taking care of others is what I absolutely know God called me to do! I truly feel that we can help mend broken bones and broken hearts. I love building relationships with my patients. One of the greatest joys as a NP is watching a patient conquer what he or she thought was an unattainable goal! I love celebrating my patient’s successes but I also love that I am able to hug them through their failures. Fun fact about Rhonda…she started taking piano lessons again two years ago as a way to relax!

Francine Poole is one of the Nurse Practitioners at our Women’s Health/GYN Clinic in Opelousas. She has been with AP for the last six years. Fran has been married to Hoyte Pool for 21 years and they have four sons and one wonderful granddaughter. Her hobbies include planting and gardening, walking with friends, spending time with family and friends, but one of her greatest joys is spending time with Andi-Lynn, her granddaughter. When I asked what she loved about being a Nurse Practitioner, she replied, “I love when patients are able to improve their quality of life because of working together to achieve their health goals.” Fun fact about Fran…..she completed a 5K race two years ago and survived!

Jerome Richard is one of our Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners at our Opelousas location. He has been with AP for the past several months. He has been married to Marina for eight years and they have two children, one son and one daughter who are five and six years old. His favorite hobbies are fishing, hunting, fitness, and riding ATVs with his family. When asked what he loves most about being a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, he states, “Taking care of patients is when I feel like I was genuinely able to make a difference in their mental well-being, whether that be through medication or just an encouraging conversation.” One fun fact about Jerome is that he never dreamed he would be working in healthcare however, 12 years later, he understands that it is what he has been called to do and he is proud to be able to serve others in this way.

Nichole Miller is one of our Nurse Practitioners working in our Specialty Clinic specializing in Pulmonology, Internal Medicine, and Sleep Medicine and joined AP also in April of this year. She has been married to Dustin for the past 14 years and they have three children. Her hobbies include watching her kids participate in all of their extracurricular activities, spending time with family and friends, dancing, fishing, painting and any activity that involves water. When asked about what she loved about being a nurse practitioner, she stated, “I love building relationships with my patients and educating them on their disease processes so they feel empowered to be active participants in their own healthcare. I consider it a privilege to provide care for my community.” One fun fact about Nicole is that the beach is her happy place!!

Kylie Thibodeaux is one of our Nurse Practitioners in our Women’s Health/GYN clinic at our Opelousas location. She has been with AP for three years. She has been married to Jason Thibodeaux for the past 17 years and they have three children Aedan who is 19, Tucker who is 15 and Emma who is 14. She enjoys spending time with Jesus, her family and her friends. She also enjoys crafting, shopping and attending her kids sporting and school events. When asked what she loves about being a NP, she states, “I have been a NP for 14 1/2 years and I still love it! My favorite part of my job is being there for my patients throughout their lifespan.” Fun fact about Kylie….she is obsessed with Christmas and puts up at least five Christmas trees every year in her house! Surprising fact…. She is scared to death a riding in a vehicle with anyone if she is not driving!

Dustin Miller is one of AP’s owners and practices at our Opelousas’s location. In addition to working full-time as a Nurse Practitioner and business owner, he also serves as District 40’s State Representative in the Louisiana Legislature. He has been married to Nichole for the last 14 years and they have three children. In his free time, he enjoys hunting boating, helping people, and spend quality time with his family. When asked about what he loves about being a Nurse Practitioner, he states, “I love having an opportunity to work with my patients and celebrating the good results of better health outcomes with the patient.” Fun fact about Dustin….he has no dance rhythm!

Megan Jones is one of our Psychiatrist Nurse Practitioners working in our Opelousas’s location for the last year. She is engaged and her and her fiancé recently welcomed their first son! Outside of work, she enjoys shopping and binge watching her favorite TV shows as a way to relax and recharge. When I asked what she loved about being a Nurse Practitioner, she stated, “what I find most rewarding about caring for patients is witnessing hope and healing restored; being part of their journey and seeing their strength return brings me great fulfillment.” A fun fact about Megan is that she loves discovering new music and creating playlist for every mood and occasion.

Darrell Davis is one of our weekend NPs also on Saturdays in our Port Barre location and has been with AP for the past 5 years! He loves to travel, especially to New York and is a huge sports fan. He also enjoys spending time with his family. When asked what he loved about being a NP, he stated, “I view healthcare not just as a job, but as a calling from God to serve!” Fun fact about Darrell is that he has two vices… he buys too much cologne and too many kicks!
