Position Checks 🤍 Did you know most pregnancies only include about 2 ultrasounds covered by insurance , unless your high risk 🚨
At your anatomy scan it’s completely normal for baby to be breech or sideways. At this stage, they still have plenty of room and are constantly moving as they grow and your uterus expands.
We typically start seeing babies settle head down around 27 weeks, but there is no deadline. Every baby is different! I’ve seen babies:
• Flip head down early and then turn back
• Stay transverse for weeks
• Turn head down as late as 39 weeks
Baby’s position can change throughout the entire third trimester while some stay head down the entire time. That’s why position checks are so helpful, especially as you get closer to delivery and may not have another ultrasound scheduled.
While providers can often feel baby’s position with their hands, ultrasounds gives a much clearer and more reliable confirmation 💯

Baby Inside Me 3D Ultrasound does it’s best to provide the best possible images. Unfortunately, babies do not always cooperate. Fetal position, amniotic fluid, fetal movements, and the mothers body type can impact the quality of ultrasounds. If necessary, under staff discretion only, we can reschedule you in 2 weeks for a redo session.
