People are calling the cupping marks "bruises", they are not- bruises are caused by trauma- broken capillaries and the like and are painful. Cupping brings biological waste to the surface that is blocking circulation and gumming up the works. It may be uncomfortable while it is being applied, but very few people have discomfort once the cups are removed. In fact the opposite is true. People report feeling looser and better with much less pain and tightness. I perform cupping at Spotted Tiger Acupuncture for many satisfied patients- athletes, weekend warriors, post surgical patients, etc. Go USA team!
