Celebrating Earth Day at the 🌍

CulinArt’s The Common Table brought together partners and changemakers for a meaningful day of sustainability, featuring a vendor showcase with NY Common Pantry, Red Hook Farms, RTE Cuisine, and the CulinArt Group Wellness Team.

Guests enjoyed a special tasting from Visiting Chef Michael Panfil and his Chile-Lime Chicken Crispy Rice Bowl, followed by an engaging panel discussion with leaders across Compass Group and NY Common Pantry.

The panel participants were Chef Michael Panfil, Senior Director of Culinary at Compass Group, Janelle Lacey, Regional Corporate Dietitian at Compass Group, and Megan Murphy, Food Souring Manager at NY Common Pantry. It was moderated by Jennifer Espada Domingo, Marketing and Engagement Manager at CulinArt Group.

It was a wonderful day filled with collaboration, conversation, and inspiration to drive a more sustainable future, together 🌱

Our last feature for our Women’s History Month all-girls school employee spotlight are Pam, Anita and Breanna 💜

Pam says she loves her students. “They call Anita and me the “grandmas of the dining hall” because we keep them in line, well fed, and laughing.”

Pam’s advice for young women would be: “Keep striving for where you want to be in life.”

Pam’s favorite part of working at an all-girls school is: “Watching the connections between the girls form so quickly and naturally. Year after year, you see them go from strangers to best friends, it’s something special.”⭐️

We want to thank all of you amazing ladies for all the amazing work you do every day to make sure the students are well fed and happy!

In honor of Women’s History Month, we would like to shine a light on the incredible team of all women serving one of our all girls schools, Emma Willard 💜

We understand how unique all-girls schools are, so we recently comprised a girls school group where district and unit managers can share ideas, discuss common challenges, and explore creative ways to support the needs of these schools! 📝

Pictured above is Ana-Alysse Russo, Director of Dining Services at Emma Willard School.

She is passionate about creating a space where people feel cared for and supported. She says “good food is just one part of that.”

Her advice for young women would be: “be genuine, trust your voice, and don’t feel like you have to change who you are to make others comfortable.”

Her favorite part of working at an all-girls school is being part of a community where young women are learning, creating, and supporting one another. She also loves the opportunity she had to step into leadership. It is incredibly meaningful to her.

“It’s truly special to be a woman in a leadership role connecting with these young women, showing that we belong in any room we choose to enter.” ⭐️
