Hold this position for 60 seconds per side to build real core stability and full body control. This is not just a balance exercise, it teaches your body how to stabilize the spine while your arms and legs are moving, which is exactly what you need in everyday life.

As you extend your opposite arm and leg, your core has to work hard to prevent your lower back from dropping or rotating. At the same time, your glutes and upper back muscles are actively stabilizing your hips and shoulders. This creates a strong connection between your upper and lower body, improving coordination and control across your entire body.

Focus on keeping your hips level, your spine neutral and your movement slow and controlled. Avoid rushing or lifting too high, the goal is stability, not range. Over time, this can strengthen the muscles that support your lower back, improve balance and help reduce unnecessary strain on your spine. Especially if you deal with lower back discomfort or sit a lot, this is a simple but very effective exercise to build long term stability.
