He is the son of Edward and Donna Kight; father of Jo’Siah Kight; bonus father of Kynlee Dotson; significant other of Destiney Robinson; brother of DaChe’ Kight, Danye’ Kight and DaVanye Kight; grandson of Emma Jean Tucker and the late James Tucker, Sr., Edward Kight Jr. and Maecine Kight.

Thompson Funeral Home, is saddened by the passing of Rev. Dr. Leroy Dee, Sr. who transitioned Wednesday, February 18, 2026. Our deepest sympathy is extended to his two sons, his grandson and his loving family.

He was pastor at Philadelphia M.B. Church, Hickory Flat M.B. Church and Whitehall M.B. Church. He worked as an Environmental Specialist with the Corp of Engineers for 40 years, but returned to assist with special projects until his health failed.
