"Don't let me cry mom. My lungs won't get bigger, won't get stronger, won't make me wiser.
Don't let me cry mom. Don't hear those comments, your kisses won't spoil me, your chest won't make me dependent, I don't do it to disturb.
Don't let me cry mom. I can only trust you, I only know your voice, your smell, I only think of you since I came out of your womb.
Don't let me cry mom. Don't teach me to comfort myself alone, I don't need it, because I know I can always count on you.
Don't listen to them. Don't spoil me when you attend my cry. I do not ask you for comfort at night to disturb, I seek you because I need you, because I do not understand this world we live in, because I am just learning to love.
Don't teach me from a young age to cry, to suffer, to feel lonely.
I'm gonna learn it I promise. One day I will suffer for real and my cry will not be for you to hold me in your arms or for you to give me your breast, one day my cry will be of an adult and you will not be able to comfort him.
That day I want to remember simpler days. Days when my parents used to kiss me and that's all I would stop crying. Those days are not coming back and if I never had them I won't have to remember.
