At the turning of the season, we pause.

The equinox is a quiet moment of balance — equal light and dark — just before the energy of spring begins to rise. Rather than rushing ahead, we’ll take time to rest.

This practice is a deeply somatic sound nidra, inviting the body to settle and reset. Through guided awareness, live sound, and gentle Reiki, we’ll create space to soften, listen inward, and allow the season to shift from within.

Tea will be shared afterward as a simple way to land together.

Space is limited to keep the room intimate.

Sound & Somatic Rest
A Yoga Nidra & Sound Experience with Chasity Griffis & Kristyn Weeks

Join us at Align Sacred Space for a quiet experience of deep rest and nervous system renewal.

In this guided Yoga Nidra practice, the body rests comfortably while the mind is gently led into a state between waking and sleep. As you settle into stillness, waves of sound from singing bowls and other resonant instruments create a supportive atmosphere that helps the body release tension and the nervous system soften.

Yoga Nidra is often described as “yogic sleep,” a deeply restorative practice that allows the body and mind to reset while remaining comfortably aware.

No experience is needed. Simply come as you are and allow yourself to be held in the stillness.

“May all beings everywhere be happy and free.”

This beloved mantra echoes the ancient Sanskrit prayer Lokah Samastah Sukhino Bhavantu, a wish offered not just for ourselves, but for every living being across the world. In yoga philosophy, this sentiment reflects the practice of ahimsa (non-harming) and the recognition that we are all deeply interconnected.

When we pause to wish happiness and freedom for all, we soften the boundaries of the self and remember that our well-being is woven into the well-being of others. 💭

MISSING DOG! Please share. This poor family reached out to me about their missing dog. My heart just breaks for them, I wouldn't be able to function without Betty.

This is Sable. He was last seen around 9:30 a.m. off Brott and Bryce in St. Clair County. Both their dogs had gotten out, and the other dog was found on Rabidue going toward Lapeer. Sable has on a camo collar, and a black and orange buzz collar. He’s 3 years old, not neutered, about 35-50 pounds, medium sized (height wise) and petite. He has black long hair and a little bit of white on his chest.

His owner Bradley worries someone may have picked him up. Sable is a family dog with 3 young boys missing him dearly. Please check ring cameras! Let's get this precious angel home where he belongs.
