Maryhaven creates welcoming environments where people with special needs may reach their highest potential and enjoy a life full of dignity, purpose, and inclusion. Maryhaven’s Residential Programs are family-like group homes and apartment-style communities where adults with special needs can live an independent, purposeful life with support. In addition to providing housing, we support attaining the highest quality of life and personal growth by offering life skills and job training opportunities through our Day Habilitation, Vocational Training, and Supportive Work Programs.

Last night was a blast as our Wellness Coordinator, Kristie Panuccio teamed up with the Recreational Coordinator, Megan Ferrando for an unforgettable circuit training session! This is something that is offered for our staff through our Wellness program and now was modified for our individuals.💪✨ A huge shoutout to everyone who joined us – your energy made it so much fun! 🎉

Together, we transformed a regular evening into a fantastic opportunity for our individuals to learn new activities and stay active. It’s amazing what happens when teamwork meets creativity! 🙌

Taylor Cipolla Smith has been honored with the December Living the Mission Award for her outstanding contributions as a Community Integration Specialist. She works with the Community-Based Prevocational program, specifically with their maintenance crew, exemplifying dedication to Maryhaven's mission every day. Recently, her efforts in establishing a partnership with Marriott Courtyard have further highlighted her commitment. Through her work, she fosters a strong sense of community and pride among the individuals she supports.

Our Story

Maryhaven is a nonprofit, Long Island based agency committed to helping persons with special needs including intellectual disabilities, mental health issues, physical disabilities, and/or substance abuse/dependence issues realize their full potential, without regard to age, race and/or religious beliefs. The agency’s purpose is to establish, maintain and operate progressive programs and services which are residential, educational, vocational and rehabilitative in nature. The ideal goal is the attainment of normalization, in all aspects of life, for each individual in our care.
