She is located in our Massapequa office and we are taking special referrals based on her specialty areas: She works with the nuerodivergent population, certified in 0-5 years old, works with parents bringing babies home, pre and post partum, amongst many other areas! Liz Lauricella is a clinical social worker with specialties working with pregnant and parenting folks, as well as young children and their families.
I know welcoming a new baby to the family comes with a host of challenges and changes: from hormonal shifts and changes in our brains and bodies to changes in employment, lifestyle, relationships, and reflecting on our own experiences of being parented. I am highly experienced in working with pregnant, birthing, postpartum, and parenting folks with perinatal mood and anxiety disorders—or just struggling with the changes in demands, identity, and daily structure.
I am endorsed by the New York State Association for Infant Mental Health and have extensive experience supporting and enhancing the relational development of 0 to 5-year-olds and their families. In my work with young children, I view all development through an attachment lens as all children must feel safety and security to grow and thrive—and it is within our closest relationships that all future development occurs.
I am also highly experienced in working with neurodivergent children and their parents, from early identification through educational advocacy. I am dedicated to helping parents learn and understand their children as they improve their own ability to meet the needs of their kids, wherever they are in their development.
I use observation, curiosity, and humor to help you improve your own reflective capacity, to understand yourself and the journey you’ve been on. My approach to treatment is rooted in psychodynamics, feminist theory, and from a psychosocial, relational, and developmental framework.

Hi! North Shore Relationship Center has taken on another intern. We are currently serving over ONE HUNDRED patients in our practice with low income, no insurance or medicaid that cannot access treatment through our interns. Thank you so much for all your referrals. This is a great way for us to provide access to treatment to all individuals while giving our interns an excellent, nurturing experience.

We are welcome Ashley Armada, MFT intern. She will be virtual from May through September and then will be in our Massapequa office. She is both English and Spanish speaking. I spent years making meaning of my story, and it led to a desire to understand others on a deeper level. The connection I feel when hearing people’s stories profoundly impacts my own life because it is constantly shifting my perspective and expanding my understanding. To me, therapy is a collaborative deep dive into what holds us back, triggers us, and what ultimately liberates us. It is an exploration of what it means to be human and our relationship with others.

Though people come to therapy for different reasons, I believe that at our core, we are all seeking connection; connection to ourselves, to our partners, to our community, or to our own self-understanding. So, while I practice from a systemic, collaborative, relationally based therapeutic approach, and train in specific therapy models (Solution Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Emotionally Focused Therapy), my goal is to hold a space for recreating connection.
