You are never too old. Don't give up on yourself. It's true the older you get the more stiff you become, BUT, that can be reversed through an active lifestyle. Yoga is an excellent way to stay active and keep your body moving - even if an ailment or injury is present.

Meet Tom Allen. At 90 years old, he is the oldest Yoga Instructor in Britain and has no intentions of retiring soon. He began the practice at 55 and is currently teaching two classes a week. He has his sights set on beating the record of an American Yoga Instructor who is 101.

"It has very much kept me in the shape I am now. I follow the yoga lifestyle and do everything in moderation so have kept my weight very constant."

“The quality of your breath is the quality of your life”
- Gurmukh

I love this quote. It's simple yet profound. I often say this to my students in class. How we breathe correlates with how we move around in the world. Is your breath deep and energizing, filling your life with abundance, or, is it shallow and tiring, setting the tone for anxiety and depression?

Come find out in a class. Starting this week you'll have two more opportunities to practice with me!

Our Story

Kathleen Donnelly has been a dedicated student of yoga since 2010 and a humble teacher since 2015. She turned to yoga in 2010 when she felt a deep stirring of her heart for something more in her life. This practice helped to lay the foundation of support and nourishment that she needed from holding two waitressing jobs. Even before she really practiced yoga she felt a calling to be a yoga teacher. Her early studies and training were primarily in Iyengar Based Vinyasa Flow through Pure Yoga New York in 2012.

After she got her first job teaching a few years later she felt like she wasn’t qualified enough to teach and had a desire to be more educated. In 2016 she landed in her first yoga therapeutics training which went more in depth on the inner workings of the human body, how stress and injury influence our lives and how a yoga & meditation practice can significantly support our health and wellness. So, inspired by this, Kathleen enrolled into Prema Yoga Institute’s Yoga Therapy Certification program and she’s on course to become a Yoga Therapist to join the IAYT, giving her the ability to work with all kinds of people and bodies. She draws on much of what she has learned in her teaching and her own practice as well as drawing on inspiration from many sources. Kathleen earned her 500HR level certification at Pure Yoga with an emphasis in Prema Yoga Therapeutics and is a registered yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance.
