Our new February series continues!
💗Building self love, one thought at a time.💗
Week 1: Rest is not a failure.

💡Rest is not a setback — it is a strategy.💡

You do not have to earn rest or feel guilty for slowing down. Pausing helps your mind reset, your body recover and your clarity return.

This week’s self-love reminder: Rest is a need, not a failure.

Save this for the days you need permission to slow down. 💛

‼️ New series‼️Monday Mental Health Tip: 💗Building self love, one thought at a time.💗 Tracy Williams, M.A., LPC kicks off a new series for February and shares how building self-love doesn’t start with grand gestures. It starts with the quiet thoughts you repeat every day. In this series, we’re focusing on small mental shifts that create lasting change.

🧠 Your ADHD brain isn’t broken. It just needs a better reset. 🎯

✅ Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) gives people with ADHD practical tools to interrupt unhelpful thought loops and get unstuck.

➡️ Try this simple, three-step thought reset when overwhelm hits:
1️⃣ Name it.
Give the thought a label.
“I’m stuck.” “This is too much.” “I’ll never finish.”
2️⃣ Nudge it.
Ask yourself: Is this thought helping me start?
3️⃣ Swap it.
Replace it with a starter thought:
“I only need to do this for five minutes.”
“I can start small.”
“Progress counts.”

👉 This isn’t about positive thinking. It’s about realistic thinking that helps your brain move forward.

✅ At New Beginnings Counseling Team, our therapists use evidence-based approaches like CBT to help adults with ADHD build momentum, confidence and sustainable routines.
🤍 If starting feels harder than it should, support is available — and it works. Call/text us: 409.540.2055.

💭 If your thoughts feel loud, racing, or frightening, remember this: you don’t have to believe everything your mind says.

🧠 Reframing your thoughts isn’t about toxic positivity. It’s about gently taking back control, one thought at a time. When you slow down, name the thought, and challenge it, you create space for clarity instead of chaos. 🤍
At New Beginnings Counseling Team, we walk with you as you build this skill with confidence and compassion. Small shifts really do add up.

If you need support shifting your thoughts, our counselors are ready to sit beside you, help you regain your footing, and guide you as you steer with steadiness and strength. You don’t have to navigate this alone.

💭Anxiety often starts with a thought, but it doesn’t have to end there. At New Beginnings Counseling Team, we see every day how small shifts in thinking can create meaningful shifts in feeling. 🤍 Reframing doesn’t mean pretending everything is fine. It means reducing the power anxious thoughts have over you and giving yourself a steadier, more realistic voice. 🧐 Try this simple “thought swap” today: notice the old thought, then intentionally choose a kinder, clearer one. With practice, this becomes a skill you can carry into any stressful moment. ✅ Save this for the next time anxiety shows up. 💬 Share it with someone who could use a little calm.

❓What if nothing is wrong with you — your strengths have just been mislabeled? For many women, ADHD isn’t the problem. The problem is years of shame-based messaging instead of strategy-based support. 🎯 Difficulty focusing does not mean you lack discipline. 😢 Emotional intensity does not mean you are “too much.” ✅ Needing structure does not mean you are failing. When women receive the right tools, ADHD traits become powerful assets in creativity, leadership, relationships and everyday life. 🏆 Real change happens when you move from coping to confidence. 😄 At New Beginnings Counseling Team, we help women understand their ADHD, harness their strengths and build systems that actually work for their brains — not against them. 👉 If this resonates, take the next step. Call/text us today: 409.540.2055.

💌 Dear women with ADHD,
You’re not too much. You’re wired for more.❤️

For years, women with ADHD have been told to “fix” themselves — be quieter, slower, more organized, more consistent.

👉Here’s the truth: ADHD isn’t a character flaw or a broken brain. It’s a different operating system.

✔️Many women with ADHD are:
• Highly intuitive
• Exceptionally creative
• Deeply empathetic
• Powerful problem-solvers
• Visionary thinkers

The challenge isn’t who you are.
It’s being taught strategies that were never designed for how your brain works.

✨At New Beginnings Counseling Team, we help women stop masking their strengths and start building systems that support them — without shame, burnout or self-blame.

🧠 If you’re ready to stop fighting your brain and start working with it, schedule an appointment today.
Your brain doesn’t need fixing. It needs understanding.
