Yogurt was a fun idea for a party and our residents loved it. Thank you to Comfort Keepers for hosting the “Yogurt Bar” event. Residents Melanie, Marion, Deena, Sandra, and Rosalie piled on the toppings. Yum!

Everyone was a little bit Irish today at our St.Patrick’s Day party. Lots of green beer and green pina coladas. Residents had a sing-a-long to Irish favorites and the party ended with nearly everyone on the dance floor.

It’s that time of the year for a “shamrock shake”, the seasonal, green, mint flavored milkshake. Activities Director Aimee Wilson took residents to McDonalds today and they returned with smiles and green tongues!

Our active fun residents attended the “Steel Magnolias” play at the iconic Athens Theater in Deland built in 1921; Melanie, Pat A, Janet V, Sharkey, Pat W, Joe K, Janet T, Bob, and Carol.

“Employee of the Month” is Angelica Zbinden, a vital member of our nursing team. She came to the U.S. as a teenager from Mexico and forged a 27 year career as a med tech/caregiver.
