🚂 🎫 We had a blast in Kentucky for our monthly destination! From guessing games to trivia, we learned so much about this beautiful state, known for the Kentucky Derby and Abraham Lincoln's birthplace. Lunch featured the delicious “Kentucky hot brown” and we savored “Kentucky bourbon cookies” for an afternoon treat. Mr. Bandit from VITAS wowed us with new tricks, and we wrapped up with a lively game of jumbo tic-tac-toe! 🐎

We explored the fascinating world of essential oils and their incredible natural benefits for wellness. These oils are said to be great for supporting both physical and emotional well-being. In April, Ace and Betty will mark their 50th anniversary. They are proud parents of two sons, Glenn and Matthew, and have three grandkids: Kristin, marrying her sweetheart this summer; Justin, pursuing forensics; and Alexia, becoming a veterinarian. Ace holds his family dear, along with his beloved pet, Rebel, who was with him for 18 years. He has one brother and two sisters. Ace dedicated 42 years as a mail carrier, 5 of which were as service in the US NAVY. 📫⚓️

More February recap: A huge thank you to the Silver Sands Middle School Honor Society for visiting us! 🍎 Our residents loved working alongside the students to decorate our activity room. We also kept the Olympic spirit alive with a heated game of "Ice Noodle Hockey." 🏒 The Red Team took home the win, and we all celebrated with "edible hockey pucks" (delicious fudge-covered Oreos!).
