Our programs include the following:

Domestic programs:
POINTS OF HOPE (POH) CHAPTERS: Empowering caring, compassionate people to make a daily difference in the lives of children! The POH Chapters can participate in:

Beanies4Babies: create hats for premmie babies in need

TeenTotes4Hope: provide totes filled with goodies and hope to teens in foster care

Hosting a PH Teenista: a FREE day of pampering (hair, make, nails, shopping, etc.) and mentoring for foster girls

Hosting "See Mommy and Me Grow Together": a special day for young ladies who are also young mothers to come an be blessed with great sessions for how to be a mom, and also get to go shopping for their babies and have a chance to be pampered a bit for themselves. International Programs:

Agriculture: Teaching the residents of Buduburam to grow crops, providing food for their families and a source of income

Education: Funding K-12 education for students who are orphaned, destitute or whose parents are volunteering and giving to the community with no financial gain. In addition, Point Hope supports disabled students living at the Harmony Community Disabled Center. Living Water: Fresh water now flows and electricity is available in a community which previously relied on water vendors bringing in water from a nearby but polluted lake. Skills: Men and women receive skill training in areas such as carpentry, computer, batik, jewelery, baking and sewing. Gregory's Medical Clinic at Buduburam through the providing and subsidizing the salaries of medical staff, donating medical equipment and supplies and subsidizing repairs of medical equipment. We also fund the care of malnourished children and hospital referrals for vulnerable peoples.

This happened with amazing speed, right at their two year anniversary, the Point Hope Ghana health project at the Eyes of Hope Vision Centre has announced the opening of an Optical Lab right at the facility! How wonderful that the people Point Hope serves will be able to get quality eye care and eye glasses at a reasonable cost.

Our Founder, has had a fantastic time in NYC, which we are thrilled about--this hard working lady, who 20 years ago asked what she could do to help a refugee camp of 80,000 people, since she was only ONE person, has continued to pour into the lives of vulnerable families in West Africa and in children in foster care here in the U.S.

As we reach the end of November Thankful Month, we want to say how thankful we are to see the incredible work and impact Point Hope Ghana and its vibrant program, Eyes Of Hope Vision Centre, is bringing to so many persons in Ghana. We can take for granted the opportunity to get eye exams and quality eye glasses, but it truly is a blessing and life changing for people who don't have such ease of access. Thankful for the team in Ghana and thankful for the supporters here who give monthly to support and make these outreaches possible.

We are so excited to be entering the 3rd year of outreaches and subsidized eye care through Point Hope Ghana and its key project, Eyes Of Hope Vision Centre. In just 2 short years they have screened over 5,000 people and provided glasses, medication, and referrals for other specialty care--impacting lives in a very real and necessary effort.

We first partnered with Mobility Worldwide over ten years ago. Our second shipment came over five years ago. Their Personal Energy Transportation (PET) carts were so valuable to us that we carefully selected who would receive them. Our last child-sized, hand-operated PET Cart just found the perfect home. We are thrilled to be a part of this precious girl's story and very thankful for all the support receives so they can share in her story as well!

Another successful vision outreach! Point Hope Ghana and Eyes Of Hope Vision Centre are establishing a lens lab to save funds on distributing eyeglasses at subsidized prices. It will also be available to produce lenses for other vision centers in the Region and throughout the country of Ghana 🇬🇭 This will grow their reach and ability to provide quality eye healthcare, while also providing a revenue stream to move them to self-reliance.
