Love Buzz is back in stock! What's the buzz about Love Buzz?

A heart-centered, invigorating, & mood-lifting synergistic blend that supports cardiovascular & nervous system health.

💕Ashwagandha - a calming & grounding adaptogen that is considered a general longevity tonic and is often administered as a libido enhancer.

💕Damiana - a warming ally most commonly used as a supportive tonic for the libido. Supports healthy levels of serotonin and dopamine within the brain and acts to support and maintain the optimal flow of blood and oxygen to the ge***al areas. She brings the heat and we love her!

Action Alert! Save our Farmstands!

Do you love coming up Floras Creek to pick strawberries in the summer and get veggies from the Valley Flora Farmstand? Do you look forward to fresh bagels, organic produce and eggs from Hartnell Haven Farm each week? Do you rely on Wildwood Gypsy’s raw milk, baked goods, and fresh produce?

We love these thriving little hubs of our local food system - and we know many of you do, too - but they are suddenly under threat by a new bill (HB 4153) being considered by the Oregon legislature. The bill would limit who can operate a farmstand based on acreage and sales, essentially elbowing out small scale farms and producers like us. It’s a very bad bill for small family farmers, local eaters, and our community food system as a whole.

There is a hearing for this bill TOMORROW, February 4, at 1 pm in Salem. We need as many people as possible to submit testimony AGAINST this bill and hopefully stop it in its tracks. Testimony can be submitted up until Friday, February 6th at 1 pm.

While we're halfway to Spring and the weather is deceptively warm on the farm, it's still very much Winter in the Northern Hemisphere and my body is feeling it.
I've been spending less time on social media and will also be spending less time at the apothecary this month. February hours will be limited as we dial in our crop plan, and prepare for seed deliveries, longer days, and "la montaña" - how Allen & a dear friend like to describe peak farming season.
We still want to be available to our local community though and for the time being these will be our hours:

▪️Thursday: 12-4
▪️ Friday: 12-4
▪️ Saturday: 12-4

Online and wholesale orders will continue uninterrupted.

I'm back! Kind of. The apothecary will reopen tomorrow, January 23rd, with a Friday-Monday schedule for the rest of the month and then February's hours will likely be limited to Friday-Sunday only.

This morning I bottled up our 100th batch of Elderberry Syrup 🤯 What began as making care packages for friends and family in early 2020 and then slinging syrup out of the back of the car as word got out, has flourished into something bigger than I ever could have imagined.
I'm incredibly grateful for my community near & far and this herbalism journey that I've been on for over 15 years now.
Thank you for being a part of it 🙏🏼

Tomorrow, Monday December 29th, is the last day to catch me at the apothecary before I take my Winter snooze. Come stock up or just stop in and say hello and help yourself to some tea.

Elderberry has been used for centuries as a home remedy to support the immune system when experiencing the cold and/or flu and we're stocked up at the apothecary.

We have extended hours this week before we take our Winter break:

Time has slipped away from me and here we are in mid-December already 🤯 Par for the course, our hours will look a little different as we finish out the year and head into the next.

The apothecary will be closed this Thursday but we will have extended hours leading up to the 25th. We'll be open 12-4pm Friday the 19th through Wednesday the 24th.
Then catch us for any last minute shopping/stocking up the 26th-29th before we take our Winter break.

Hi friends,

Here's a blurry picture that matches how blurry the days are feeling 🙃 As the bustle of Black Friday grows and more and more businesses are announcing their deep discounts, we want to share a little reminder...

I'm going to preface this with:
**This is not meant to shame other small businesses - we fully understand that times are tight and vulnerable for most of us small business owners and we're all pivoting the best we can.**

Unlike many businesses, we don't participate in Black Friday (we're actually closed that day) or Cyber Monday. You won't see any door busters, extreme deals, or blowout sales from us. Something we strive for in our business is accessibility and in order to keep our products at an accessible price point for as many folks as possible (while still being able to pay our own bills) we don't have huge profit margins that allow 50-75% off discounts nor do we have a massive inventory to move (small batch is, and will always be, our focus).

If you're holding off on stocking your wellness arsenal in case of a potential major bargain that just can't be beat, we're sorry if this message disappoints you. However, we're still planning on having our annual Winter Solstice Sale for both the website and the apothecary (spoiler alert, everything will be 15% off).

As you do your shopping this year, we invite you to join us in focusing on thoughtful purchasing and genuine support for small businesses like ours. We're incredibly grateful for all of our customers and it's not lost on us that you could spend your dollars elsewhere. It's been an honor to serve you over the years.

✨ Turmeric ✨

The medicine garden may be tucked in until Spring but the greenhouse feels like a tropical wonderland right now and we just started digging gorgeous Turmeric rhizomes out of ground.

I'll be set up at the Valley Flora Farmstand in Langlois tomorrow (Wednesday) from 11:30-2:30 slinging fresh Turmeric, some of our herbal tea blends, freshly bottled Elderberry Syrup and Fire Cider, and MAYBE some Ginger🤞🏼

Looking forward to seeing everyone up the creek again - it's been awhile!
