The season is shifting and so are our hours. We ended the last day of our Summer hours with a bang (thank you so much Port Goreford enthusiasts!) and now it's time to embrace the shorter days.

Beginning next week we'll be open on Thursdays again and Mondays are going to be a little more sporadic. If the lights and sign are on, come on in. If you're ever unsure or need to make an appointment please reach out.

We'll also be set up at the Valley Flora farmstand on November 12th & 19th with fresh Turmeric, Elderberry Syrup, Fire Cider, and more.

Fire Cider is back in stock! ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥
If you're one of our cider heads you can thank Allen for this batch (and all future batches 😅). Not only does he make our fire cider but he grows most of the ingredients that we use too. Our goal is to eventually have a 100% OHG grown version one day🤞🏼Our horseradish tanked this year so we'll continue to try try again.

Summer in a bottle. This delicious apple cider vinegar + honey tonic is made with fresh strawberries, lemon balm, and a hint of basil.

Take it straight, diluted in your beverage of choice (makes a fantastic mocktail or cocktail) or use as the base of a vinaigrette.

One of my favorite services that I offer is one that I actually don't really talk about much.
I work with several different practitioners across the country and make custom formulas for their clients and patients - they give me the formula and I turn around and make it, bottle it, and ship it off to the person who needs it.
While I offer this for alcohol based tinctures as well, my main focus is glycerites. Being able to provide a non alcoholic remedy, that is still effective, for those who have clients who prefer or need that option is an honor. And honestly, a joy.

I love Wednesdays. It's currently the only day of the week that Allen and I have together where we each have zero obligations (well, we pretend 😅) Lately, we've been spending a chunk of that time in the medicine garden together and today we've been swimming in Calendula. The harvests are so abundant this season and the flowers feel extra resinous. That makes for a super happy farmer and herbalist. I typically hoard our harvests for my own remedy making throughout the year but I actually have enough to share this time and the plants are still cranking.

You can now find our dried Calendula in the apothecary and on the website. We are not third party certified but all of our herbs are grown with beyond organic and regenerative growing methods and everything is hand harvested, shade dried, & VIBRANT 🌼

✨ROSELLE✨
Whenever folks are looking at the jars of herbs on the herb wall at the apothecary I love to share how I can tell you which farmer or wildcrafter each herb came from and that they're all from Oregon. I've had a couple people stop at the Hibiscus and say to me, "but not this one." Why yes, even that one 😊

This is our 4th year growing this warm weather loving crop on the Oregon Coast and we're starting to pull heaps of it out of the greenhouse.

For my fellow hibiscus tea lovers, did you know that when you're sipping on a cup of this heart benefitting goodness that you're actually drinking the beautiful calyx (red fleshy sepals) that has been dried and NOT the flashy tropical blossom of a different plant that most of us visualize when we think of hibiscus? 🌺

I love Roselle (Hibiscus sabdariffa) for its cooling energetics and high levels of vitamin C, minerals, & antioxidant flavonoids.

Before I end up processing it all, is anyone local interested in fresh calyxes? Lemme know!

A heat wave on the coast calls for this soothing spray I made for our Summer CSH members. A cooling, nourishing, and hydrating mist to support dry, chapped, and/or burned skin. Made with calendula and cucumber hydrosols along with fresh aloe vera leaf juice.

Speaking of our CSH (Community Supported Herbalism), additional Autumn Herb Boxes went live at the beginning of the month! A huge thank you to those of you who have already claimed one!

If you didn't sign up for the entire year of herbal goodness this is your chance to get in on the fun and claim an Autumn Box for yourself or a loved one (they make great gifts!)

These boxes are one of my favorite things to create and I'm honored to be able to share them with you! Ordering window will close on August 15th or when we sell out, whichever happens first.
