Adding to the front orchard today. This will complete the large trees in the front.

Today we added the soursop, a kumquat, a mamey sapote and a green tea tree!

So many fascinating new medicinal and edible plants.

We’re all about that local life!

Met these ahhhhmazing peeps at Springhill Farmers Market!! We stopped for mushrooms and ended up with great eats!!!

This lady stood on her business! She knows what she has! And what she’s bringing is DELICIOUS.
Y’all. Her peanuts did NOT disappoint, especially if you’re a garlic lover like me! They also have a food truck. Go over to IG and give them a follow!!

Ps…..so far we’ve used this on eggs and on mushrooms. DIVINE!!! 👩‍🍳😘

Meet our favorite girl.

Thoughtful Shroom

This is her being made. We’ve sourced our lions mane for this next batch from Motherland Fungi! You know we love our local! This is super high quality mushroom my friends!! We had a terrific conversation with the owner and his father in law! Go give them a follow! Let’s get them SEEN!

We also purchased dried lions mane to make an umami seasoning I’m in the process of developing!

Chopped and submerged in high proof vodka for the next several weeks, then we will strain and boil the pulp in distilled water to extract every tiny bit of medicinal goodness from each batch. The two will be combined to make the best brain helper!

A day of running to care for the front orchard and the reset of the chill area out back. We’re moving our storage buildings, trimming trees, removing brush and debris, spreading mulch, and planting three new trees!!!!
We bought two new trees from a market in Springhill this morning and found that I did NOT in fact murder the soursop…..so the mens have some digging to do. 😆

Jason is finally hanging a flood light out back for our boys.

I’ll be in the lab packing our new custom tea order and a few online orders 🥰🥰 They’ll go out first thing on Monday morning.

Yes. I look tired. I am. 🥴(Plus allergies ugh) But I’m happy and relaxed and THAT’S what this break has been about. Rest AND joy. 🥹

I’ll be posting some content while I make today. We are also having white chicken chili for dinner! Everyone loves this chili. I’ve been perfecting this recipe since 2007 maybe? It changes almost every time I make it. 🫢🤣 Jennie W., of course I am thinking of you 😘

Hate MSG? Boyyyy I do!
Personally, I get a runny nose and most times it will trigger a nasty headache! 💀

But it tastes soooo good. Yep. It does. But how may times have you eaten something yummy that’s bad for you? How many times have you indulged in something that hurts you after. I mean, are we even Americans if we don’t? 🫣🤣

It’s not a big deal?
For me it is. A headache on top of this fibro body can mean losing my day to extra pain and stress. Maybe even two or three days if it triggers a migraine.

So now I make my ranch. No more preservative, no more extra sodium. It’s just……
