Forest started practicing yoga when he inquired about alternative therapies provided by a non profit organization in May 2015 . The day he called they happened to be having a gentle yoga class that day. Although wheelchair bound due to recovering from major ankle surgery, he decided against what he thought was his better judgement to attend this yoga class. As a yoga teacher, Forest now can appreciate what was going through the co-founder’s mind as he came through the doors on a knee scooter with one leg in a brace and the other leg in a caste below the knee to come practice yoga. From that day forward yoga has been a gradual change that has pulled him into sharing the same practice that changed his life. The ironic thing is at one point in his yogic journey he vowed he would only practice gentle yoga. Forest is highly dedicated to this Ashtanga personal practice. His expertise in teaching is more towards gentle/restorative, however due to his commitment to practicing yoga, he can develop a sequence suitable for all yoga practices.
