It’s been 15 years since any new affordable housing buildings have been built in Jefferson County, according to Olympic Community Action Programs (OlyCAP), who took on the challenge by opening 7th Haven affordable housing complex. OlyCAP brought together over 200 organizers, elected officials, and community members to honor the completion of this six-year project. The ribbon cutting was held in early April at the apartment’s parking lot, bringing a lot of smiles and gratitude to the horizon.

Introducing a NEW data resource, “Connecting to Data”!
Data sharing & transparency is a key strategy for OCH. OCH can serve as a hub for regional data and analytics. This tool provides a summary of OCH's action plan indicators including key takeaways and why the measure is important to regional health and well-being. Partners can use this tool in whatever way is valuable to them:
- Use the info to inform the direction of collaborative projects
- Embed these data into grant applications
- Explore the indicators to better understand local health needs
