🎉 We’re thrilled to celebrate our very first DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses at Jefferson Healthcare!

💙 Congratulations to Megan Contento, RN, from our Intensive Care Unit, for earning this well-deserved honor. Megan was nominated by a patient’s family who shared that “she embodies everything a nurse should be.”

“It fills me with pride and gratitude to see the incredible impact our nurses have on patients and families each day," said Tina Toner, Chief Nursing Officer.

Last Sunday, five members of the Physical Therapy Department. volunteered their time and efforts to Dove House Advocacy Services. They weeded, raked, trimmed and pulled ivy on the corner of Hospital Road and Cleveland Street, and scrubbed the picnic table clean. When the weather dries out, they will return to paint the Little Free Pantry with supplies donated by Henery's Hardware.

💙All month this group has also been collecting toilet paper and tampons to donate to the Dove House, which supplies 17 bathrooms around the county.

Additionally, the pantries have been stocked with warm hats lovingly made and donated by our patients. Without having to buy these supplies, the Dove House can dedicate more resources to the services people need most.

👉During the month of November, the Rehab team will continue their efforts and host a food drive to stock the Little Free Pantry. We encourage you to join them by donating to the Little Free Pantry or any local hunger relief organization!
