Pictured here is our wonderful Physical Therapy Team: Sharon, George, Lynne, Marylou, Barbara, Alison and Dexter. The team recently received a lovely letter from Patricia O. Great Job PT Team!
“My Mom, Peg F. has been at the Amsterdam for 2 years now. She has led a completely Independent life up in her 3rd floor apartment, until September 10th when she fell while walking out in front of the building. She was immediately cared for and the Paramedics came to take her to North Shore/Manhasset Hospital. After 5 days, she was released to the sub-acute care floor at the Tuttle Center. Mom was an in-patient at the Tuttle Center for 5 weeks, and while there, received incredible professional and compassionate care. Everyone, from Dr. Wolfson, to the Nurses, to the Nurses Aides, to the housekeeping staff could not have been more wonderful. On top of that, I was so impressed with the Physical Therapy Department. Mom had Physical Therapy twice a day, every day, and Occupational Therapy every day. They worked with my her until she was able to go back to her Independent Living apartment, which was everyone's goal. Every person we met over our 5 weeks at the Tuttle Center was happy, cheerful and always ready to help...both Mom and ME! If the nurses or the PT team thought there was something I needed to be aware of, they did not hesitate to let me know. I very much appreciated the TEAM APPROACH....Renee, the Social Worker had reports from Dr. Wolfson, the Nurses, the Dietitian and the PT department. I could not have been happier with the experience.” - Patricia O.
