Hello everyone! 👋 It’s time to introduce myself to our new followers—welcome!

My name is Dawn Freeland, and I’m a licensed and certified insurance agent specializing in health and life insurance. My mission is simple: to make shopping for health insurance easy, clear, and stress-free.

A little about me—I’m married to my amazing husband, Ryan, and together we have three children (ages 24, 21, and 10). We also have a 9-month-old Frenchie named Toast, who you’ll see around the office from time to time 🐾. I love coffee, being outdoors, and traveling, and none of what I do would be possible without the incredible support of my family.

Beyond my family and friends, my true passion is helping individuals understand their health insurance options and feel confident in their coverage decisions.

We specialize in:

Individual Health Insurance (ages 0–64) — both on and off the Marketplace. We handle all quoting so you don’t have to deal with the hundreds of solicitations that come with shopping online. We work directly with carriers and manage Marketplace discounts if you qualify.

Medicare (age 65+ or those on disability for 24 months) — from submitting applications to ongoing service, updates, and changes once your plan is in place.

Small Group Health Insurance (2–50 employees) — helping businesses find the best plans and pricing from top carriers. We conduct employee meetings, answer questions, assist with enrollment, and manage changes throughout the year and into renewal season.

Our goal is to handle the details so you can focus on what truly matters—your family.

What a year 2025 has been! Thank you to all of our clients for continuing to trust us and for allowing us to work with you again in 2026. We remain committed to educating and supporting you with all of your health insurance needs.

Open enrollment for individuals under age 65 who need to purchase their own health insurance outside of an employer begins this week. Rates for 2026 are significantly higher than in previous years, but please be cautious when choosing lower-priced plans — many of them come with very limited provider networks.

At this time, UnitedHealthcare’s individual network is limited to Bronson providers only, and they are expected not be in network in 2026, which would leave these plans with no local network at all. Rendering your insurance useless.

We understand how confusing and frustrating this process can be. Please be patient with your insurance agents — we are working hard to help you find a plan that is both affordable and provides access to doctors and hospitals in your area.

We are here for you and just as upset as you are with the state of network adequacy and pricing.

🍂 My favorite season is almost here, and the cooler weather has me craving all the fall flavors. One of my go-to recipes is this simple yet delicious Brown Sugar Roasted Acorn Squash. Perfectly sweet, buttery, and cozy!

Ingredients:
• 1 acorn squash
• ¼ cup melted butter
• ⅓ cup brown sugar
• ¼ tsp kosher salt

Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 400ºF. Line a baking sheet or baking dish with foil.
2. Prep the squash – Wash, cut in half, and scoop out seeds and stringy bits. Place cut side up on the baking sheet.
3. Mix the topping – In a small bowl, stir together melted butter, brown sugar, and salt.
4. Brush and fill – Generously brush the mixture over the squash (it will pool in the center, that’s the good part!).
5. Roast – Bake for 45–50 minutes, until a fork slides in easily.
6. Serve – Enjoy straight from the shell or scoop the tender squash into a bowl.

✨ Cozy, sweet, and so easy—this one is always a fall favorite in my house!
