🍀✨ A Little Magic in Memory Care! ✨🍀

This week our Memory Care residents put their creativity to work by building a Leprechaun trap and writing a collaborative letter inviting him to visit and prove he was real.

Well… today we had all the proof we needed! 👀🌈

When we checked the trap, we discovered leprechaun shoes, a tiny hat, gold dust, coins scattered about, and plenty of chocolate gold coins and bracelets for our residents to share and enjoy!

Beyond the fun and laughter, experiences like this support important cognitive skills — encouraging imagination, collaboration, problem-solving, storytelling, and memory recall. Writing the letter together sparked conversation and connection, while building the trap strengthened fine motor skills and teamwork.

The smiles, laughter, and sense of wonder made it a week to remember. Moments like these remind us that magic isn’t just for children — it lives in imagination, connection, and shared joy. 💚🍀

For the past several days, our Memory Care neighborhood has been hard at work on a special St. Patrick’s Day coloring collaboration project. Each resident added their own touch, and together they created something truly festive!

As you can see, this masterpiece took a team effort, and our residents are incredibly proud of the hard work, creativity, and patience that went into the final result.

Moments like these remind us that creativity, connection, and a little bit of Irish luck can bring everyone together. 💚

You might see:

💗✨ Love Through the Decades – 60’s & 70’s Week! ✨💗

February in our Evermore neighborhood was all about Love Through the Decades — celebrating the music, memories, and moments that shaped our residents’ lives.

This past week we turned the clock back to the 60’s and 70’s, and our morning movement routine became a full-on disco celebration! 🕺🪩💃

Kelly from Select Rehabilitation joined us and led a themed exercise session that had everyone smiling and moving to the beat. And yes… they brought out the classics:

✨ The Sprinkler
✨ The Running Man
✨ Grocery Shopping
✨ Box Corners
✨ Mowing the Lawn
✨ And of course… the famous disco point 🕺👉

There was laughter. There were toe taps. There were a few serious dance faces. And most importantly, there was joy.

Music from these decades has a powerful way of awakening memory, encouraging movement, and bringing out personality. Watching our residents light up when a familiar rhythm starts is something truly special.

Thank you to Kelly for helping us keep our bodies moving and our spirits high.

💜💛💚 Mardi Gras in Memory Care 💜💛💚

Last week, our halls were filled with color, music, laughter — and the sweetest kind of joy.

We celebrated Mardi Gras together by indulging in delicious paczki’s during Social Hour (because every celebration should start with something sweet 💛). As we shared treats, stories, and smiles, you could feel the excitement building.
Our residents spent the afternoon decorating festive masks and adding beads and sparkle to their wheelchairs and walkers — each one as unique and beautiful as the person behind it. Creativity lit up the room, and so did the pride in their finished pieces.

Then came our parade… 🎭✨

We rang our bells, rolled through the halls, showed off our decorations, and cheered on one another. There was laughter. There was music. There were moments of pure connection.

In Memory Care, celebrations like this are about more than decorations — they’re about belonging, dignity, creativity, and joy. Watching our residents participate, smile, and take pride in being part of something special is what makes days like this so meaningful.

Nine years of early mornings.
Nine years of teamwork.

If you know Rose, you know she is the energy, the volume, and the commentary. The spontaneous moments that aren't just funny but also bring our team closer.

But behind the laughter is a CNA with a huge heart. Rose loves our residents fiercely, advocates loudly, and shows up for her team every single day.
