A big congratulations to Angela Chambers, our Employee of the Month! Angela has been with Miller's for over a year as an Activity Assistant. Angela is amazing with residents, staff, and family members. When you see Angela in the halls she is always welcoming everyone with a smile. Angela says that she loves the bond she has with residents and staff. When Angela is not at work she likes watching documentaries, Halloween (Michael Myers), spending time with family and grandchildren, and meditation. Thank you, Angela, for all that you do here at Miller's!

Last week we were able to get in a trip to the apple orchard. The weather was a perfect fall day, sun shinning, and a little crisp breeze. We had some lunch and did a little shopping and threw in some laughs with pictures.

The residents have done it again! They are showing off those artistic skills. A nice little fall painting to put up for decoration.

Nothing screams Halloween more then some pumpkin decorating. The residents had so much fun and reminisced about their memories with children and grandchildren.

Our annual Trunk or Treat was a hit! We had a food truck, haunted maze, hot chocolate, trunks filled with candy, and lots of laughter and screams from the kids! This event was a success from all the help from staff, residents, families and all the volunteers. We would like to thank everyone that took the time to help and make this event amazing! 🎃👻

Residents put their artistic skills to amazing use by making bohemian bracelets. Arts and crafts provide physical, mental, and emotional benefits. They help with fine motor skills, coordination, and reduce stress.

Charles Schadowski has won the hearts of our Physical Therapy team. Charles stated, "I never thought I would walk again and I was very discouraged. The therapists here had me walking and I appreciate everything they are doing for me."

The residents said they are not afraid of ghost! They had a friendly game of ghost toss this week. Playing physical games like these are beneficial to the residents because it provides a low-impact work out that improves balance, coordination while offering cognitive stimulation, and stress relief.

Miller's has long been committed to supporting community programs that enhance Senior's health, including conducting monthly blood pressure and blood sugar checks at the Bonner Senior Center.
