As we close out National Activity Professionals Week we want to shine a spotlight on the different outings residents enjoy. A favorite activity is going to the casino for a little excitement and fun. Beach trips to enjoy the amazing views and great company. Going out to eat and making new memories with friends. These outings promote independence, adventure, and joy at every stage of life.

From help calling bingo, serving treats, leading music lessons, sing-alongs, and supporting group activities.

Simply showing up with smiles and kindness, your time and hearts mean more than words can say. Our volunteers bring laughter, connection, and joy into Miller's. We are so grateful for the compassion and generosity you share by giving your time.

Irma brings the FUN! Our Life Enrichment Director works hard to cultivate an active community full of laughter, entertainment, exercise, and play. She gets every party rolling with her contagious smile. Beyond BINGO, Irma spends hours to plan and execute meaningful activities that residents look forward to joining. Thanks for your creativity, high energy, and dedication, Irma!

Meet Fred! He mentioned since moving in he is happily retired from scraping windshields, shoveling driveways and battling icy sidewalks. He loves the maintenance-free living Miller's Senior Living Community provides. These days, you will see him enjoying a hot cup of coffee and catching up with friends. There is always good conversation, laughs, and maybe even some friendly teasing around the table.

We're celebrating a special resident who has called Miller's home for almost five years! Karen brings joy to everyone around her. Along the way, she's formed wonderful friendships that mean so much to her. Karen mentioned she loves movie nights, weekly poker nights, trips to the casino. Karen also loves anything Mickey Mouse and is currently working on a two thousand piece Mickey puzzle.

Today is National Pharmacist Day! We appreciate our local pharmacists! Residents decide which pharmacy they'd like to use and there are plenty from which to choose. Some pre-sort medications and offer free delivery. Staff may remind residents to take their medications at the correct times of day to reduce the risk of a forgotten dose.

As we welcome the new year, several residents share the same goal! Their resolution is to move more, make healthier choices, and support one another every step of the way. You can usually find these ladies in one of our daily Stay Fit classes moving and grooving and enjoying the journey together.
