In honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Heritage House designed and created this pink pumpkin reminding everyone dealing with breast cancer to “Never Give Up”. Encore Senior Living is holding a contest for the best pumpkin submitted by each community. Our pumpkin was raised by Activity Director Sue’s grandson Kayden on their local farm. He grew it and picked it out especially for our competition. It was one of the biggest and best in his field. Activity Director Sue and Marketing Director Paula B. Worked with the Heritage House residents Saturday afternoon to carve out, paint and decorate the pumpkin with the bright pink logo for breast cancer. Paula advertising”Never Give Up” which hits home for her personally as a breast cancer survivor. Paula and Sue designed the floral arrangement and Edgewater Home and Garden put the arrangement together for them to insert into their top of the pumpkin. Our proud pink pumpkin is front and center at Heritage House so everyone who comes into our lobby can see our pink pumpkin on display for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Remember to get your annual mammograms and do self checks. Early prevention is the Key to the cure!🩷
