AeroCare will be hosting a Celebration of Life in honor of our dear friend and colleague, Shirly Scholz. This event is a wonderful opportunity for us to gather and celebrate the remarkable life and contributions of Shirley.

The celebration will take place on July 13, 2025, at 6:00 PM, at the AeroCare Hangar, located at 6006 N. Cedar, Lubbock, TX. For your convenience, parking will be available at the Silent Wings Museum.

Additionally, we welcome and encourage any first responders who would like to display a vehicle at the event. If you are interested in doing so, please reach out to KaWanna Mccormick at (806) 853-4935 or via email at Kawanna.Mccormick@gmr.net.

For those who cannot attend in person, the event will also be livestreamed on AeroCare 1&3 Lubbock's page.

We look forward to seeing you there and sharing in this special occasion as we honor Shirley's legacy.

As we reflect on Memorial Day, we are thankful for those who were lost at, and from war. Today, while enjoying your time with family remember those who paid the sacrifice for our continued freedoms. Be safe, be happy.

Being stewards in the communities we serve is one of GMR’s six guiding principles. For McKenna, this means cultivating meaningful relationships with each of her patients. “What I love most about my role in EMS is that I get to care for many different people, who have such diverse cultures and backgrounds. [And] I make a difference by caring for every patient as if they were my own.”

Thank you for sharing, McKenna! We fully support the daily missions of our peers, and yours is the true personification of everything we do and abide by as EMS professionals.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day from your friend Geoffrey at AeroCare12. Stay safe from getting pinched today, and wear some green (even though his favorite color is red!). Celebrate responsibly, friends.

Med-Trans Corporation is heartbroken to share that three AirCare crew members perished in an accident including our Med-Trans pilot and two care team members from the University of Mississippi Medical Center. The aircraft, an Airbus EC-135P2+ (N835CS), lost contact with our Communication Center at 12:35 p.m. local time while returning to base in Columbus, MS, after completing a patient transport in Jackson, MS.
Our primary focus now is on supporting the families who were impacted as well as our team members. Critical incident stress management teams have been sent to assist our team members during this difficult time.
At this time, we are not releasing the names of the crew members on board the flight. We kindly request respect for the privacy of the team members and their families in this difficult time. Med-Trans will work closely with the FAA and NTSB during the investigation.
