Announcing PEAK!

The Children’s Program is excited to announce a new addition to the online platform Learn! The newest addition is PEAK: Parenting to Empower Anxious Kids, developed by Dr. Nichole Sage.

PEAK teaches how to recognize the Dirty Dozen Pitfalls that parents face when their kids express anxiety, and how to apply Nine PEAK Techniques so you can avoid getting tripped up by the pitfalls. PEAK is entirely online and contains videos, slides and handouts to help parents navigate child anxiety. To learn more about PEAK or register please click on the link below.

One of our developmental pediatricians, Robin McCoy, MD has partnered with some colleagues over at Mind Matters to offer the Exer-Psyche Mental Wellness Project.
This project is an evolution of a group therapy program developed in 2011 employing Taekwondo training and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy principles in a therapeutic multi-family group experience focused on helping children struggling with mental illness.

The Exer-Psyche Mental Wellness Project is an initiative of the Mind Matters Family Center.  The mission of the Family Center is to improve the mental wellness of our communities by engaging and educating families and individuals and partnering with community groups.
