Restorative yoga: Slowed down, held, and intentional. 💛

This is a look at what goes into preparing a private group session. Every prop placed, every detail considered, so that when you arrive, all you have to do is breathe and be here now.

Private restorative yoga sessions are a peaceful special way to gather. Whether it’s a small group of friends looking to unwind, family coming together, or coworkers stepping away from the noise.

No experience needed. No set up or clean up of props- ever! ✨

Just a willingness to rest.😌

🌎✨ Happy World Sound Healing Day ✨🌎

Today we honor the universal language of vibration.

From the deep resonance of Himalayan bowls
To the ancient voice of the didgeridoo
From crystal tones to sacred drums
From tuning forks to gongs

Across cultures, across continents, across centuries…
Sound has always been medicine.

Sound reminds us that everything is vibration.
That healing is frequency.
That harmony is our natural state.

May we continue to use sound with intention —
To calm the nervous system
To open the heart
To reconnect with ourselves
And to raise the collective vibration of this planet.

Take a moment today to pause…
Listen…
And feel.

What instrument speaks to your soul? 🎶

There’s so much happening in our world right now. In our communities, in our hearts, in the collective space we all share. The weight of it can feel overwhelming; the worry, the fear, the uncertainty that seems to follow us from moment to moment.

We know that regrounding feels harder these days. Being present feels like a luxury we can’t afford when our minds are racing. Focusing feels nearly impossible when everything feels urgent and heavy.

That’s exactly why we created this 3-minute peace meditation.

Not because three minutes will solve everything. But because sometimes, we need permission to stop, even briefly, and remember what peace feels like in our bodies. To interrupt the spiral of worry, if only for a few breaths. To find ground beneath our feet when everything else feels unstable.

Meditation doesn’t have to be long to be meaningful. It doesn’t have to be perfect to be healing. These three minutes are an offering — accessible, gentle, and real.
If you need a moment today to just be, without fixing or figuring out or fighting, this is for you.

Let’s find peace together, three minutes at a time.

With love and gratitude,
Catherine & Mario 🤍

The New Year began in an unexpected way. A heel fracture and a sprained ankle. 🦴

There’s a certain irony, especially with a new class beginning Monday: Therapeutic Yoga for Bone Health.

The truth is, I’m grateful it wasn’t worse.
I’m disappointed to be injured.
My personal practice will look very different for a while.
My business offerings will shift.
My energy feels different.
The list of outdoor family activities I hoped for this week, did not happen.

What’s humbling is that my right ankle has been speaking to me for months. ❤️‍🩹
Quiet nudges at first then clearer messages.

While I was being checked at urgent care, this quote came to Mario’s phone:

“Stillness isn’t ‘nothing.’
It’s the biggest ‘something’ you can do as a human.
Remembering who you are beneath your thoughts, fears, and compulsions.”
— Cory Muscara

This feels like a reminder many of us receive in different ways.

Our bodies speak long before they demand attention.
Rest doesn’t need permission.
A slower pace doesn’t mean something is wrong.

When energy shifts and when life changes. When stillness arrives unexpected and uninvited…There is wisdom there. ✨

Sometimes healing looks like movement.
Sometimes it looks like listening.
And sometimes, stillness IS the practice.

Happy New Year! 🎊

With love and gratitude,
Catherine

✨ Gentle Beginnings: Restorative Yoga + Sound Journey ✨
A nurturing way to welcome the New Year

Join Kalyani Nicole and Mario for a deeply nourishing New Year’s offering designed to support rest, reflection, and renewal.

The journey begins with restorative yoga guided by Kalyani Nicole, inviting the body to soften, release tension, and settle into deep rest. Once the body is fully supported and open, you’ll be gently guided into a sound journey led by Mario, where healing vibrations from singing bowls and soundscapes help calm the nervous system, integrate the practice, and create space for new intentions.

This experience is not about doing or striving—it’s about receiving, allowing, and beginning the year from a place of grounded presence and ease.

Yoga is Serious…” 😉

…but it’s also human. It’s spacious. You are allowed to have fun.

In one of my recent restorative classes, we were setting up for legs up the chair and suddenly burst into laughter. Not planned. Not forced. Just the kind of laughter that slips through when people feel safe, supported, and present.

And while I don’t necessarily recommend laughing through a restorative class 😄, something beautiful happened afterward. One student turned to another and complimented her laugh.

That student shared that she hadn’t stepped into a yoga class in decades because her first experience felt so serious, so rigid, so not her.

If you’ve ever felt that way, this is your gentle nudge:
✨ Yoga is allowed to hold both seriousness and the lightness of being human.
✨ The practice can honor stillness, discipline, breath, and awareness… while also giving space for joy, connection, and the occasional giggles.
✨ You’re allowed to show up as you are.

Doesn’t it feel good to laugh?😆

Maybe it’s time to give yoga another try. 💛
