Marcie: A True Porthaven Original 🌟
Some people become the heartbeat of a place. Marcie is one of them.
Marcie D’Amico began her journey at Porthaven Post Acute at just 19 years old, starting as a CNA, and over the years grew into what many of us lovingly call an everything person. With 43 years at Porthaven, her knowledge, dedication, and steady presence are truly unmatched. She knows this building, our residents, and our mission better than almost anyone.
Outside of work, Marcie has been married for nearly 40 years, is a proud mom to one daughter, and an even prouder grandma to two grandkids, who bring her so much joy. She loves plants, people, and spending time with her grandkids, the simple things that mean the most.
What makes Marcie special isn’t just her longevity, it’s her heart. She shows up with consistency, compassion, and an unwavering sense of responsibility for the people around her. She carries institutional knowledge you can’t teach and a kind of dedication you can’t replace.
Marcie’s impact lives in the residents she’s cared for, the coworkers she’s supported, and the culture she’s helped shape. Porthaven is better because of her, and so are all of us who get to work alongside her.
