๐Ÿ’— Vibrations of the Heart ๐Ÿ’—

"How are we going to get through this?"

๐Ÿ’— In times when the ground is constantly shifting beneath our feet, co-regulation is here to help. Trying to process things with the mind can only go so far and trying to process alone is not what we're meant for.

๐Ÿ’— Co-regulation, the vibrations of our hearts syncing up, is an amazing way to overcome some of the hardest challenges of life. It's not a solution to the problem, it's a way of building resiliency and discharging what builds up in our collective bodies, minds and spirits.

๐Ÿ’— It looks like a 45-second hug with a friend, a quiet mindful walk with a coworker, taking a moment with someone you love to enjoy the warmth of the Sun feels on both of your faces.

๐Ÿ’— It's frustrating when we feel like we can't do enough but taking care of one another, learning to regulate with one another can be a profoundly healing start for the long journey ahead.

๐Ÿ’— Take a moment everyday to let your heart vibrate with someone else's and tell me what you notice.

๐Ÿ’– This heart painting was a little gift and is displayed in the clinic for everyone to enjoy!

I โค๏ธ tacos

โค๏ธ I get sentimental over little things often. I've been this way since I can remember. Something catches my eye and if I interact with it on a daily basis a sense of comfort, belonging and consistency develops.

โค๏ธ I don't recall how I got this little "I โค๏ธ tacos" sticker or why I placed it on my sharps container but it always made me smile. Its message is short, sweet and universal. I'm pretty sure tacos are the perfect food.

โค๏ธ Today I had to say goodbye to this sharps container and thus to this sticker. I hope you have enjoyed it as much as I have. If you have a sticker to share I'd be happy to apply it to the new bald container that is taking its place.

โค๏ธ You will always be in my heart little taco sticker! Thank you for the levity and joy you brought to my clinic space.

๐ŸŒธ Self-care is Simply Beautiful

๐ŸŒธ The goal is to place the power of healing back in the your hands. Gua Sha has been an effective easy way to manage my pain and keep my tissues from locking up. With some coaching it's perfectly safe for anyone to do at home.

๐ŸŒธ And no special tools are needed! Last night I couldn't find my Gua Sha tool so I used a kitchen spoon. Alternatively, people have used coins or small sauce dishes to do the work. I even encourage people to play around with these different options to see which they like the most.

๐ŸŒธ And remember: Self-care is multifaceted and goes beyond the body. It includes doing things we don't enjoy, having safe relationships that serve us and so much more.

๐ŸŒธ In what ways do you take care of yourself that you might not give yourself credit for?

๐ŸŒธ Hi!

๐ŸŒธ Not a lot of posting as of late. It's been a mix of needing to focus on ourselves for a bit and feeling ethically conflicted about what social media does to people. I want to share my story, my thoughts and this beautiful gift of having Bailey along for the ride but the depletion and disconnect promoted by these types of platforms is not something I can ignore.

๐ŸŒธ What will I do? Not sure yet. I simply wanted to share this sentiment and say hello โ˜บ๏ธ

๐ŸŒธ We're still here, the clinic is bustling and plans for expansion are in the works. Taking things slow helps keep the momentum focused on what's important - the health and well-being of us all - you, me, Bailey and our community.

๐ŸŒธ Meeha Mindbody Acupuncture is here for us.

โšก Little things matter.

Pictured here are two needles with an electric current running through them, targeting a very small area of tissue. Though the pain can be experienced in a large area of the body, it is not uncommon for a tiny spot like this to cause a cascade of undesirable sensations. Running a current through a dysfunctional muscle can open up the fibers, reduce inflammation and remind the muscle how to contract and release again.

๐ŸŒŠ Go with the flow

This technique involves precise needle placement along the muscle fibers, following the direction of tension. These insertions create a controlled microtrauma, prompting the muscle to release and rebuild, much like microneedling stimulates collagen production in the skin.

E-stim or electro acupuncture directs a current right into stuck painful tissue to soften it up and get the muscles functioning properly again.

Happy Monday, everyone! ๐Ÿ‘‹
I'm shifting gears on IGโ€ฆ I want to share more of what my life as an acupuncturist actually looks like. There are enough wellness influencers out there and Iโ€™m not here to do that. But Iโ€™d like to show you how I live, how I view my own health and how that influences my clinical practice. Health to me is about the everyday moments that shape our lives: our friendships, the food we eat, supporting local businesses, how we spend our money, and discovering what a balanced life means for us.
So, here's my Monday in a nutshell:
First stop: ! โ˜•๏ธ I needed a change of scenery from my home office, so I worked at their cafe while enjoying a coffee and co**ha. (And yes, Bailey tried to sneak a bite! ๐Ÿ˜‚) It's all about supporting those local gems that make our community special.
Then, it was off to the dog park for Bailey's much-needed playtime. ๐Ÿพ As my ESA, she's my constant reminder to step away from work and prioritize self-care. If I donโ€™t intentionally build space between work I will work myself into the ground. (Thanks mom and dad for giving me my insane work ethic)
On my way home, I stopped by for brewing cacao. Sadly they were sold out of the brewing cacao, but I did pick up some other treats. If youโ€™ve never tried brewing cacao I highly recommend it, and here's why: In Chinese medicine, cacao is a warming food that supports heart health and circulation. But traditional chocolate often comes with additives, such as oil, dairy or sugar, that can create imbalances (phlegm and damp-heat). Brewing cacao offers the benefits without the drawbacks โ€“ it tonifies the heart and helps clear liver stagnation. Perfect for those days when you need to feel balanced and grounded in your emotions.
This is my version of wellness โ€“ a blend of simple pleasures, getting work done, supporting local businesses, and moments of connection with Bailey. What are your favorite ways to nurture your well-being? Share in the comments! ๐Ÿ‘‡

Spring in Portland is in full swing! ๐ŸŒธ While my sinuses are feeling the seasonal shift, my skin is loving the sun-kissed days and gentle spring mist. After a busy morning in clinic, I treated myself to a late lunch and discovered , Portlandโ€™s first indigenous dining experience.

Let me tell you, it was more than just a meal. I opted for the bison burger (yes, bison! ๐Ÿคฏ), nestled between their signature flatbreads instead of buns. Honestly, Iโ€™ve never been a huge bison fan, but Javelina completely changed my mind. The flavors were perfectly balanced and absolutely delicious. I paired it with their Nizhoni blend tea โ€“ a nourishing mix of raspberry leaf, nettles, oatstraw, and more, crafted for wellness and support.

This experience got me thinkingโ€ฆ What does "eating local" really mean? ๐ŸŒฟ We often see wellness culture promoting ingredients and products from all over the world, but Javelina reminded me of the power of connecting with the land we live on. It brought me back to the concept of eating from the earth, and how deeply that can impact our health.

Let's challenge ourselves to explore what "local" truly signifies in our own communities. How can we support indigenous foodways and prioritize ingredients from our own backyards? ๐ŸŒŽ

What are your favorite local finds? Share them in the comments! ๐Ÿ‘‡

P.S. - Bailey also loved her nibble of bison burger ๐Ÿ˜‰
