✨ Who you are being shapes the field around you.
A couple of weeks ago I shared a reflection about what it means to be in the world, but not of the world.
For me, this doesn’t mean withdrawing from life or transcending the human experience.
It means living from Self rather than reactivity.
Participating fully in the world — relationships, work, responsibilities, and challenges — without being governed by fear, ego, or unconscious patterns.
Psychologically, this is what Internal Family Systems calls Self-leadership.
Spiritually, many traditions describe it as presence.
Ultimately this is about remembering the deeper Self that lives within us — what many traditions call the soul, awareness, or Presence.
Both point to the same truth:
we are at our most powerful when we are centered, aware, and grounded in our deeper nature.
Recently I pulled this card: “In the world, not of the world.”
It felt like a visual reminder of the same teaching.
Remaining present and grounded within the currents of life…
without being pulled under by them.
I wrote more about this reflection in a recent article.
