Came home today from a week long road trip. One beautiful ripe strawberry waiting for me. I thought about this strawberry all week. Would my friend remember to water it? Would it make it through the 80° weather? Such a silly thing to think about as I visited with family and friends 700 miles away. But it’s silly things like this that we find joy. And those silly things are important. ♥️

I’ve been processing some guilt about my yoga practice. Life has overwhelmed me and I’m not on the mat as much I hoped to be. But, I’ve developed another practice. For the first time I have a daily meditation routine. And I’ve been soaking up the outdoors and very grateful that it’s just out my front door. So, be graceful with yourself. It’s a crazy time to be alive and I think whatever you’re doing, just be mindful. ✌🏻

Goals are amazing. Sometimes we reach them and sometimes we don’t. My goal for 2021 was to experience at least one new spot in Oregon a month. Today I went to a waterfall and an island. I realized when I got to the waterfall, I had actually been here before. But today, I appreciated it more. And then, plan change, we went to an island along the Columbia. My favorite part of this...I spent the day with an amazing woman I’ve known for 20 years. Appreciate those people. The long term, ride or die people. They’re the ones carrying us through this thing we call life.
